Don't have a fabric tape measure? Use a shoelace or pant leg to measure. Then, lay it flat & use a ruler or tape measure to get a numerical measurement.

How to measure

  • Chest

    With arms at your sides, measure around the fullest part of your chest & shoulder blades, keeping the tape level & snug.

  • Waist

    Bend slightly to one side. The crease is where your natural waistline is. Measure a comfortable loose, level line around that point.

  • Inseam

    Take a pair of pants that fit well. Now measure along the seam from the crotch to the leg opening.

  • A: I want to clear this up, so nobody else needs to waste time from the confusing product info. The description on the product has both "mesh" and "lined" as features, but they weren't what I want. Mesh refers to the type of outer fabric, airy and slightly see through. Lined refers to 2nd layer of fabric, to help with comfort and make it more opaque. There's no underwear-liked support nor stretchy leggings inside.

    Be careful with the string when washing

    Shorts are nice for the price, pretty standard. The waist-band is a little on the thicker side, so that can be annoying if you really have to cinch it in, like if you have a small waist or size up for large thighs or something. Do keep in mind the tie-string in the waist-band is slippery and seems like it could get caught while being washed. I double-tied it and put the shorts in a delicates bag to wash them just to be safe and that worked well.

    Pockets are way too small!!!!!

    Comfortable shorts but the pockets are wayyy too short....my phone, wallet, and keys fall out of the pockets every time I sit down anywhere and so if I don't catch it I will leave that item wherever I sat down. Ever leave your phone or wallet somewhere in public after simply sitting down?? Not good I was lucky to notice very quickly and went back and retrieved it but if i hadn't noticed so fast and took longer to get back I'm afraid it wouldn't have been there! Ever lose your wallet with your drivers license and all your cards in it?? Not to mention if you have cash in there?? Not a good time. Have to cancel all your cards and get new ones. Not to mention you have to receive new cards in the mail and then go in and change all your subscriptions to this new card it is extremely frustrating to get a new card # and deal with everything that goes into getting a new card just because you lost your wallet because the stupid shorts you bought from target have the smallest pockets in them they're not big enough to hold a wallet in them without falling out when you sit down in the shorts. Pretty simple fix to make the pockets bigger in my opinion but hey they won't listen to me no one will idk why I'm even making this stupid review no one will read this...but I all buy shorts from target anymore. Promise you that.
