I bought this saw a month ago because the previous miter saw i had just died after 15+ years of heavy use and i was on the hunt i have other metabo power tools and they preform beautifully and this saw is no exception comfortable to use powerful motor, crisp clean smooth cuts, not too heavy, small enough to tuck away and light enough to bring along for a quick weekend project....an awesome buy i.m.o

I bought this saw to replace one that died on me after years of service. It's a little different...But better! Easy to get to the desired angle and improved safety. I'll consider Metabo tools when the need arises.

I've had this saw for several years now and it's holding up well. I'm no longer building homes but I use it often to build around my house and make items. I like the portability of this saw and how it handles.

I bought this 10" miter saw after my old skil saw went out on me. Since the metabo hpt 12" miter saw has lived up to its name since I bought it a couple years ago I decided to go with the 10" miter saw/ This saw has been a really nice portable miter saw that we uses for trim work for my metal building business. It small which I like but packs a great punch and was accurate right out of the box. It has been a very reliable saw that is my go to for small trim work.

While I would love to give this miter saw a great review, I simply can't. I purchased it because I was so used to the Hitachi version which has lasted me a good 13+ years. I've had this saw for less than a year, and have only used it a handful of times on 3/4'' pine boards to build birdhouses and the motor is already beginning to fail. Everything I use it there is a strong burning scent and crackling noises coming from the motor. The motor gets very hot and dies out. I'm currently debating on getting it fixed or just going with a different brand all together.
Excellent small saw.

I am pleased with this miter saw. It cuts well and is very accurate on the angles. I read other reviews about the over torqued blade retainer nut, and found it hard to get the nut to break loose, I did have to use a breaker bar to break it loose. I feel it would be better if you stopped using an Allen head on the nut and went to a regular hex nut. The guard does seem loose, but not dangerous at this point. All in all it cuts straight without problems.
Powerful, accurate, and dependable.

I purchased this fantastic saw to replace my Delta Compound Miter Saw. While my Delta was sufficient, My Metabo performed circles around my Delta. I have yet had to make any accuracy adjustments to my new find. I own several Hitachi/Metabo power tools and have made this brand my "go-to" brand.

This saw is good. Very good when the price is considered. I suggest adjusting it when you receive it. The manual is pretty bad. It does not tell you that the miter is adjusted by loosening (NOT removing) the two screws that the handle you use to rotate is attached by (turn the saw over). Turn the saw back over and, using a square with a 90 and 45 degree angle (a speed square), adjust so that each of the 45 and 90 degree settings are perfect. Then tighten those screws. Next, adjust the little glass you look through so the red line is right on the line for that setting.

I bought this miter saw two years ago for a seasonal property used it very little the first year and thought it was great. Went to use it this year. After a half dozen cuts it would not rev up and made lots of noise.I checked the brushes and bearings. All okay but saw won’t come up to rpm’s and smells like the motor is burning.

Nice product. I owned a hitachi miter saw for 36 years. Built custom homes with it. Thousands of cuts. NEVER a problem. Age finally got it. Like losing an old friend. Needs a vacuum attachment!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this for house trim and did not come square. it was my fault for not checking right when I purchased it. one side was square but the other was not and bent in. I ended breaking the fence trying to square it. it finally worked, but it should've come square from factory.
