Additional features such as the adjustable air deflector, no-mar nose cap and plastic shield add convenience, and the ability to use both wire or plastic sheet nails creates flexibility.

Siding nailer

The metabo hpt siding nailer is legit. This thing is light weight and comfrtable to use all day when installing sheathing panels on roof and walls. This nailer has lived up to the metabo name. We still have nailers and heavy duty staplers from the hitachi days and metabo framing nailers that are still running like brand new and we expect this coil siding nailer to do the same. We have used many different brands in the past, but when it comes to air nailers no one does it like metabo hpt.

I bought this a few weeks ago with the impact driver combo kit. I’m using it to rebuild my fence in the backyard as well as some other projects I have going on later. I had a pretty bad jam on the 2nd nail fired using 1.5” stainless nails. The feeding system jammed up and the striker did not return home. It was difficult to clear the jam but I got it all sorted out. This was largely user error. I’ve found this nailer likes to be oiled fairly heavily. I applied 4 drops of oil or so before the first firing but once I cleared the jam it didn’t sound like it was working quite well. I put in quite a bit more oil and then tried it again. Everything is running smoothly now and no more issues. Just be sure to oil this one frequently. Especially before first use.
Performed well overall

Overall performed well on first use, however had jamming issues as coil neared the end; don't know if that is due to the Nailer or the near-spent coil.

I’ve been using these guns at work and they’ve been a great lightweight and easy to use coil gun. The only thing it could use is some sort of clip but that is what it is

What I have found out over the years (48 years) once you find that nail gun that has the feel and look, along with excellent reliability there is no need to look any further, light weight well engineered, Metabo done it again, a nail gun I can depend on and fun to use. Designsinwood

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve used this tool at my old job working for a general contractor and it was reliable for years for siding and fencing. Now that I have my own business I bought my own Metabo siding gun. I bought it when I got my first fence job as with the 2” coil nails, it makes fencing super fast. I love the Metabo name for its reputation and I never had an issue with the old job site job and I’ll take even better care of my own. I put value as a con only as coil guns are expensive in general but well worth it, it is worth its weight in gold

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my favourite gun to pull out of the trailer, and not only because sheeting is my favourite part of framing, but because of how light and compact the profile of the tool is but still delivers just the right amount of power to get the job done quickly and efficiently. The plastic parts are a little weak though. The tool takes the abuse but if anything is gonna go it's the plastic case and coil shard protector. See through casing allows for quick visual on how many nails you've got left on your coil. Easy depth adjustment and like all metabo guns, the smartest exhaust system blows the air following a shot up and over the gun away from the user so you need have to worry about getting a blast.of air when you're stuck sheeting in precarious situations like most framers find themselves in. Only thing I don't like about the gun is how flimsy the plastic protector along the barrel is. If it's there to protect you from copper wire flying at your face there should be refills available with an easy snap on/snap off mechanism.. Anyways, if you're a professional framer, this is the only sheeting gun you ever need to buy.

I've been hand nailing Hardi siding for years. Finally bought this HPT siding nailer and so glad I did. I has worked flawlessly. No miss-feeds, perfect nail set after adjusting depth and remains consistent. I should have bought one years ago!

I was working with a borrowed harbor freight nailer that jammed all the time. Finally got frustrated enough to buy own, well worth it. Should have just bought this from the start. Works great, just like all my metabo nailers!

I bought the Nailer several years ago and have used it on several projects, from putting up hardie siding to building a new cedar picket fence. Every time I grab the nailer to do a job I feel confident that it going to go well.
