A: Gelatin is animal-based.... a natually occuring ANIMAL-based protein. The label is misleading.

A: Great question! The recommend dosage will vary depending on what you are using Metamucil Capsules for. For Digestive Health, we recommend 2 to 5 capsules up to 4x/day. To maintain heart health by lowering cholesterol, you’ll need 5 capsules up to 4x/day. To maintain healthy blood sugar, we recommend taking 5 capsules 4x/day before each meal. We hope this helps!

If you are interested in something other than a capsule, please try our powdered psyllium fiber products such as Metamucil Original Psyllium Fiber Powder. The label makes a big deal about the plant-based psyllium, but the capsule itself is made of gelatin extracted from beef. You also have to take up to five capsules up to a couple times a day, this whole bottle could last less than two weeks.

But they have really good flavor and I think can give some really good results if consistently taken and keeping on a routine to build up a fiber routine. Overall I feel like they helped my in take a little bit but I would need to continue more than 1 jar use to see more solid results.
