Q: Is this okay for color-treated hair and won’t strip color

A: Good day friend! The Sea Moss Shampoo is formulated without sulfates -- typically a desired trait for those with color-treated hair. We still recommend spot testing as hair becomes more porous when chemically treated. Even with sulfate free and color safe products, color treated hair can still experience some bleeding. We hope these tips can help keep your color-treated hair looking vibrant and healthy for longer! 1. Consider how frequently you wash: Try to washing your hair less often to preserve the color. The more you wash, the faster the color can fade. 2. Cool Water Rinse: try rinsing your hair with cool or lukewarm water. Hot water opens the hair cuticle, which can cause color to wash out more quickly. 3. Deep Condition Regularly: Use a color-safe deep conditioner once a week to keep your hair hydrated and smooth. This helps maintain the color and shine. 4. Try to Avoid Overusing Heat Tools: Minimize the use of heat-styling tools like blow dryers, straighteners, and curling irons. If you do use them, apply a heat protectant spray first to protect your color-treated hair from damage. Don't forget to allow opportunities for hair to rest from heat. 5. Protect from Sun and Chlorine: UV rays and chlorine can cause color to fade. Wear a hat in the sun and use a swim cap or rinse your hair before swimming to minimize chlorine absorption. 6. I’ve been shedding more than usual for exactly a year now, due to a combination of recent diagnosis of PCOS and post-surgery Telogen effluvium. Meds haven’t helped a ton so far, so I’ve resorted to a gentler hair routine. This is the first anti-shedding shampoo I’ve tried that’s made a noticeable improvement. Usually I loose about 75 hairs in the shower (I’ve counted) but using this I lost less than 10. Small bottles for $13 but honestly worth it, and smells great

Please don't ever discontinue this collection. It has been a godsend for my hair! Plus, it smells absolutely amazing. My hair is more voluminous, and even 2 or 3 days after washing, it doesn't have that greasy look I normally get with other products. I still shed hair, however, it is in lesser amounts. I used to lose hair by the handfuls in the shower! Thank you for this collection, Mielle. ♡

I’ve been losing her since Covid and this shampoo is the only one that’s worked for me. I’m really impressed with it. I haven’t needed a conditioner with it. My hair is fine and normal not dry or greasy.

I really love this! It's sensitive and not overpowering and so lovely on my hair, this line has made me the happiest! Normally I'm quite picky and allergic to smells but I'm over the moon crazy for the shampoo scent, is there any chance someone can tell me what the main scents are? I'm dying to find a perfume to match this. Pretty please? Normally perfumes mess with my asthma but this smell doesn't amd I'd love go find a perfume equivalent 🥺

This product worked great on the first use but after using it consistently, my hair became brittle and I suffered lots of breakage, excessive tangling (even after detangling), and hair loss in large clumps.

I’ve been using this product for a couple of months and it has made my hair shed badly. DO NOT USE! It also caused thinning to my edges and left me with two spots that are balding. I divide my hair into 4 parts when adding conditioner. This photo is after detangling 1 out 4 parts of my hair.

I recently bought the sea moss shampoo, conditioner and hair mask and have used it for my last 4 washes. I was looking for products that helped with shedding because I was starting to experience a lot of it. I had tried other products without satisfaction. I saw results after the first wash with Mielle sea moss products and it has only gotten better by my last wash. My shedding has greatly decreased, my hair feels so soft and looks amazing. I’m a forever customer of this product as this point.
