Love the dishes except there were a few bubbles and color was not consistent in the dishes. Wish they had serving dishes to match as well as salad plates.

The plates are fairly light in weight for stoneware with a low profile so that they fit in our dishwasher without any need to bend the dishwasher tines. Only disappointment is that while the website stated the dinner plates were 11", when received the dinner plates were 11 1/8 ". Standard upper kitchen cabinets are 11". Don't know why Mikasa doesn't realize this and keep all of their dinner plates under 11"?

These are beautiful dishes! We ordered 2 sets. The boxes were VERY well packed and every pieces was perfect, no chips or cracks. Not only are the colors beautiful, but the raised/embossed pattern in the pieces add character and interest. We have been using the dishes for a few weeks and they have gone through the dishwasher multiple times with no issues. I only wish they had matching platters and serving bowls.

We've had these dishes for a few weeks and have really enjoyed them. They are slightly lighter weight than our last stoneware and sit better (straight up) in the washing machine. The base of the coffee cups balances the cups well but also holds water if loaded in the washing machine top down. The color is nice and goes well with the gold veining in our island and brown tones elsewhere. The bowls are best for soups and small salads since they are a deeper design. We like the larger usable area of the plates since they don't have a large rim like a lot of stoneware. They seem well glazed, so hopefully they won't get the gray scratches like the old set. Very happy so far.

I love it! I have retired a 44 year old set of mikasa floribunda. The Sorrento is such an update in shape and weight. Neutral tones are perfect in my neutral kitchen. Now I need flatware!

I have been looking a year for new dishes. We recently decided to remodel our kitchen, and I was on the hunt again to find the perfect dishes for our new kitchen. I didn't want to settle! I searched and then found Mikasa on-line. They have wonderful options and different styles to chose from. The theme of our house is VERY Italian. When I saw this pattern and its name "Sorrento", I knew these are the ones. I recently just got back from a month in Italy and I did travel through Sorrento. These dishes are Lovely. Not too heavy. They don't over heat up in the microwave. So far no scratches. They are Perfect with our new kitchen. I was able to also purchase additional Sorrento dishes without buying the whole set twice. THAT is awesome. Mikasa was the ONLY place I found what I wanted.Thank You Mikasa.
This dinnerware has an absolutely beautiful variety of patterns within it. The shapes of the various pieces are very pleasing to the eye.

I like the dinnerware we bought because it is attractive. It is also very useful. The dinnerware can be placed in the microwave. This set was bought to replace another set we bought and broke some cups and bowls. The only complaint I have is that this new set is a second generation, probably having been made later. The first set had cups and saucers. This one has the cups, but no saucers, because the cups have their own stand. There is no way to replace the first set of cups.

I needed to replace my set of Pfaltzgraff dishes that were old and worn out after 20+ years of use. After going online and searching all the different patterns, I finally settled on the Sorrento pattern. Boy, was I so happy and excited when I received my set. They were so much more beautiful then they appeared on the website. It really sets a very elegant table. I only wish they made serving dishes to match!
