Minwax Color-Matched Golden Oak Wood Filler 6 oz

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] this wood filler is pretty good stuff,i used it for when i took alot of nails out of a couple walls that i wanted to repaint i had been wanting to repaint a wall in my house for along time now but just didnt have the time to get to it, I had alot of pictures hanging on that wall so when i took the nails out lets just say their were alot of holes. So i went to the store to see what i could find to fill these holes and i came across this wood filler and thought i would give it a try, oh my it worked great and the best part is i didnt have to sand the wall at all so i could repaint it, i hate to sand anyways and with this i didnt have to. i will use this again on different things but if your looking for something thats pretty good and fills in the holes and these were pretty big holes this is the stuff for you.

I used this Minwax Color Matched Wood Filler to fix some knicks and pin nail holes on my rocking chair. It's old and had to be repaired in a few places. The great thing is if it doesn't match perfectly, you can sand and paint it. Glad to have this is my work shop for small to medium sized projects.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a beautiful solid Oak piece of furniture that unfortunately had gotten scratched from a laptop. This filled in the scratches really well and dried quickly. I love that there is no sanding involved. Simply wiped off the excess and done. The color matched pretty close and I really appreciate that it comes in a tube preventing the product from drying out.

This was a great fit as I didn’t have to ruin my new door with sanding but could do a quick and easy fix. It was very easy to use and I was able to find a great color match.

It filled in and was actually fairly easy to use. It doesn’t match perfectly it dried a little lighter but it’s not terrible, I do plan to paint the cabinets eventually so it gets the job done for the time being.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The minwax color match wood filler is easy to use. Just Dab a glob in the area needed, spread it smooth and then it dries. If you feel texture isn’t even use a small sanding pad. Works perfect for the smallest or larger damage.

The previous owners must have had a dog and it left some pretty deep scratches in the frame work. The wood filler did an amazing job of seamlessly filling in the spaces. I definitely will be using this product in other areas of my home as we continue to renovate.

What I like is that this product seems to dry faster than others, is easier to "mold and shape" than others and of course having the color choices makes it easier to match your surface. I love it!

We purchased this wood filler in white and used it for a board and batten project. The wood filler was so easy to use and it dried well. After some sanding and a coat of paint it made for a very seamless finish. I’d definitely recommend.

It goes on easily, has minimal shrinking and can be smoothed easily with a damp cloth or paper towel. This avoids a lot of hassle and mess with sanding. It dries pretty fast depending on depth and is easy to clean up. I almost always paint or stain and color match and adhesion is great. The twist on cap is easy to clean off, is air tight, and extends product life. No issues with dried up compound after initial use.

The first store I went to, didn’t have the color I needed so I bought two tubes and tried to mix them. I was not successful. The stain I have on my woodwork is Honey Oak. I found Golden Oak at another store. It is real easy to put on. No sanding is needed, just a damp cloth after it sits for a few minutes. Because I have an old stain, it didn’t match very well. It looked ok on small nail holes, but the difference really showed up on dents and scratches. Because I like the ease of this product, I will get the stainable wood filler for the remaining repairs. It will add a step but will match better with my existing wood.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This wood filler does exactly what it’s supposed to do. It fills wood and it matches color pretty well. I used the white wood color and so far have used it to fill nail holes on moulding and doors. The filler does not shrink and dries fast. I just use my finger to press it into the hole or gap and it’s as simple as that. I come back in a few hours with a light sand and then it’s ready for paint. The easy squeeze bottle is much nicer than some other putty’s and fillers that come in a can and need to be used with a putty knife. This is simple and quick!

When you go to buy it you will also notice many different shades so make sure you get the one that matches. I was impressed on how easy it is to apply with no mess and no bad scent as well. Men and woman like myself can apply it . The filler works and it last as well. I am glad I tried it.

Lesson learned - follow the instructions and let it dry before and final touch up. It does a sufficient job in masking dings. Lots of colors to choose from. Very easy to use. Flows easily like a tube of toothpaste. Very easy cleanup.

It was as dark as he was hoping for mahogany he’s working on for his boat. It Dried and sanded well and doesn’t need additional staining. Be sure to try on a small area first.

We picked the darkest color walnut, however there wasn't a lot of options. That's the reason I'm docking it one star. The color availability was so slim. There are a million different color options for stain and wood and paint I wish there was more variety because this color is a little different than the color we were trying to match. It does do it's job though. Filled easily and dried pretty fast. I did appreciate the no sanding aspect. Easy enough to just wipe the excess product off and let it do it's magic. I highly recommend this product if you can find a matching color!

I cleaned the hole a little bit and smeared the filler to fill the hole. It went on smoothly and dried quickly. The best of all was no sanding.
