A: We have tested this rug tape on all Mohawk flooring types and have not had any adverse reactions to date. If your flooring is from another manufacturer, we recommend checking with them if there are any specific things they advise against. This product is made from cellulose coated polyester with acrylic coating.

Q: Can this tape be used to hold down an edge of jute rug? Will it adhere to the jute? The edge of the rug seems to get tripped upon and I am trying to find something that will hold the edge down. Thank you

Q: You answered above that the tape should be adhered to floor. But box illustration shows tape attached to the rug. Wy did you answer that way? I don't want to tape stuff to my expensive tile floor.

A: Per the package instructions: Cut strips to fit outline of your rug or mat. Remove adhesive liner. Then lay rug / mat on floor with grip side down. Add as little or as much gripper strips for the perfect amount of grip needed for your rug/mat

A: For best results, the Mohawk Home Rug Tape/Grip Neutral should be applied as recommended by the directions on the package: Surfaces must be clean and dry. Cut into strips to outline rug or mat. Firmly press strips to floor, liner side up in the direction most often traveled. Remove liner and secure rug or mat to floor. It is also recommended that the safest thing to do would be to contact your flooring manufacturer to make sure that this product is approved for use on your flooring.

A: Hello! This tape attaches right to the bottom of your rug and is skid resistant. It's just what you've been looking for to keep that rug in place and lying flat. This rug tape works for about 6 months and then it just doesn’t cut it anymore. I’m not sure if it is dirt, humidity or just movement on the surface that causes it to lose its hold, but I find myself replacing it more than I expected. However, for some rug situations (like a thin rug in the bathroom) it just seems to be the best option, so until I find something better I will continue to buy it.

This tape is literally the most worthless thing I’ve ever purchased. The tape doesn’t stick at all to the flat backing rugs *or* the hard surface flooring beneath. Save yourself the headache and extra trip, and just go with duct tape. This product is a joke.

This porduct will not stick to your rug or your floor. It won't prevent your rug from slipping. I'd rather eat a shoe than buy this again.

Very cute, just what I was hoping for. I would call this rug more of a mustard yellow over a true orange - which is exactly what I needed to work in my kids’ bathroom. I know some reviewers didn’t recommend this rug because it was non-slip/grip, so I went in with this in mind. I have smooth tile in this bathroom, and the $6 Mohawk rug tape (from Target) works perfectly to alleviate this problem. I made sure to stick it over both the slight “lip” of the rug and the slightly recessed part, with each individual strip I cut, out over-caution (it may not need to be placed so precisely). It took 5 min, super easy. I also used this on an older OpalHouse rug from Target, that I kept in this BR - it’s been great. I’ll include a photo to show about how much I used, going around each petal (which may have been excessive?) I know this may be a little annoying when I go to wash it, but I weighed it before buying. I think it’s worth it - it’s so cute and happy!

These negative reviews are weird and look manufactured. I bought this rug tape like a year ago or some thing, and it worked amazingly well. I’ve used it for indoor and outdoor rugs, big and small, and it held up amazingly. I’m buying more.
