These stools are nice and sturdy. Good quality and easy to put together.

TL;DR: looks nice enough, but parts are machined cheaply and poorly. poor quality is frustrating. I bought two of these stools because they were the right price and height. However, I encountered issues with both of the stools. The build kit provides a single hex wrench. However, both of the stools I bought had multiple screws with holes that were too small to fit the wrench provided. I had to break out my own hex wrenches to find one that fit the screws. Also, as I was assembling one of the stools, I was simply unable to screw in one of the cross-bars into the legs. After struggling a while, I realized that the holes werent drilled correctly, so the screws weren't able to engage with the nut in the other piece of wood. Luckily I had my own drill to make the hole deeper so that I could finish building the stool. The photos show where I had to drill to make the hole deeper. This is supposed to be something you can build at home quickly with no/minimal tools, but that turned out not to be the case. I would absolutely recommend to anyone reading this that they should buy something nicer, or just buy used.

Be aware that some of the stools may have minor discoloration, uneven coloring, rough patches that need sanding and, and be difficult if not impossible to assemble. Some of the pre-drilled holes are just a little bit off so the screw will not tighten no matter how hard you try.

Discoloration on the stools

These chairs are GOOD quality. They feel solid and not flimsy. The only reason why I didn't keep them is because we have a scandanavian modern theme and they are slightly yellow compared to my other pieces of furniture in similar wood. It could just be the chair that I got and maybe the stain differs but it was slightly off that it would drive me insane although I loved the quality.

I love everything about this stool. It was very easy to put together. It is very sturdy and is made very well. I love the color of it. I recommend this to anyone. It would make a great housewarming gift as well.

This is an easy to assemble solid wood counter stool. I managed to assemble it in just a few minutes without any tools other than the Allen wrench that came with it, just be sure not to overtighten any of the screws or you'll wind up with a bump on the seat like I did. Oops! It is comfortable to sit on, despite not having a back. My only complaint about this piece is that the color shown online is a couple of shades lighter than what the stool is in reality.

All wood furniture is superior to less expensive synthetic wood. This stool was very easy and intuitive to assemble. But, as a whole, it fell short of expectations. First, the lines are completely different from what is pictured; the top of the legs in the photo have nice rounded edges, but the actual stool has very straight angles. Secondly, the color in the photo is a light modern look and in person it's more of a darker traditionally natural look. Finally, it's nice there are adjustable pegs on the legs to level the stool on the floor, but that's also a puzzle that shouldn't have to be solved; I have plenty of chairs and stools that are level without those.

The Threshold Modern All Wood Counter Height Barstool is a simple, yet stylish option for anyone looking to add some seating to their kitchen counter or breakfast bar. It does require assembly but it took less than 10 minutes. The wooden construction feels sturdy and well-made, easy to move, and the curved seat provides a surprising amount of comfort, despite the lack of a back. I did expect a lighter more modern color, and was surprised to see that it was more of an exact match in color and style to the Halifax Farmhouse Barstool. Other people in the reviews have mentioned that as well so I’m not sure if it’s a mixup of chairs being labeled wrong. It is a more rustic look to it.

Stools were not at advertised - look similar to the Halifax stools in construction rather than the photo here.

Bought the natural finish in stores -- not the same color at all. Which for me is good -- but online the picture is so light and oddly peachy? In person more of a natural color. But the color is still off -- some of the legs on the stool are different colors. (I'm trying to upload photos but it's not letting me?)
