Modern Sprout Parsley Grow Kit (Pack of 6)

I bought the lavender one a month ago from target and followed the instructions it came with and nothing! Very disappointing especially for the price. I’ve been waiting it out but still nothing yet.

Got this for Christmas. Got four jars. The directions are confusing. Why am I putting the carbon on top of the coco and the putting the seeds in the carbon?? Nothing has grown. Just bad

The garden jars have been a well-received gift to everyone this holiday season. I believe I purchased five total and everyone has expressed wanting to start their garden as soon as possible. Beautiful, simplistic decorative glass.

The jar was securely packed. The jar was beautiful. I followed the easy directions and I can't wait until my basil appears.

A little over a week in, only 2 of the seeds have sprouted. 🤞more sprout. I also purchased lavender and mint, and of the two lavender has own sprout and mint so far has none.

Love these! I've got 4 out of the 6 and have been able to grow and re-grow several times.

A friend gifted me her jar, which her mom had gifted her haha, as she was too impatient for the process and had bought a basil plant from the supermarket. Months later, my basil is huge (while hers isn’t haha, maybe she’ll learn). The leaves grow to be about 4 inches long before I prune them. I did have to transfer the basil from the jar to a pot as the plant became root bound and some root rot was beginning in the water. Easy transfer though! The basil easily adapted to the soil. I’m also still able to use some of the plant food provided in waterings every so often to help give the plant a boost. The basil is my second indoor plant, so I was nervous about the growing process, but I found it very exciting and rewarding to see it germinate to how grown it is now! The instructions for how to put together the kit were a bit confusing for me, but I was able to find a video online that explained what to do. I’ve loved being able to snip some leaves for fresh ingredients in many foods as well as provide friends with fresh leaves to cook with! Already itching to buy another grow kit or a replacement one!

I just got mine and ‘planted’ it today. I really wish I would have read these reviews first. I agree that the directions could be cleaner - show pictures of what you are trying to explain so it’s easier to follow. Also, there were maybe four lavender seeds in the packet, and I couldn’t even tell which ones they were when I put them in the jar, so not sure if I pushed them down far enough and if they’ll take. Hoping for a good result and will update this review soon!

What a great all inclusive jar to grow herbs in your kitchen! I highly recommend it for anyone who has tried and failed before. The instructions are easy to follow and before you know it, you’ll be growing your own herbs!

Sprouts are looking great! I put them under a grow light since I happened to have one. I've got two Lavender and one Rosemary. The shoots are not quite an inch tall, so we have a way to go. But they look quite healthy and make sure to spritz them every day so they stay moist.

I may have bit of a "black thumb" when it comes to growing plants inside, but I successfully was able to grow them indoors without killing them! The kit comes in a beautiful colored mason jar. Mine is the Basil plant and the jar is a blue/green color. Grow instructions were easy to follow and the kit included everything you need. The plant really does take care of itself, just spritz with some water once in awhile to make sure the soil on top stays a little damp. Then once it sprouts, you mix up some of the plant fertilizer in the water. Of course check it occasionally to make sure it still has enough water in the jar. The instructions also have tips for troubleshooting the plant. This is a fun way to grow for sure and with the beautiful packing, they would make great gifts.

I purchased five jars only one has sprouted, I would not waste your money

They had no issue following directions. Everything was greatly detailed. And after about a week we started to see sprouts. How amazing. They were so excited. We now have many little garden herb jars!

We are excited for when they are ready to be eaten. The set up instructions were very helpful and easy to follow.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far so good with our basil garden jar. It was easy to follow directions and assemble the jar kit. After a couple weeks it's sprouting well. It's slow growing and take care to make sure it's slightly damp and after sprouting there is additional care but it's all very easy to manage and do. So far I am very happy with this herb kit.

However, the directions could be clearer, or they could post a video on the website to help. As someone who is not familiar with gardening, the names of the items used were not familiar at all and there was no reference sheet to know what was what. It took a lot of time figuring out what the directions meant and second guessing myself to know if I was doing it correctly. A simple diagram labeling all the contents included in the kit would have saved me so much time. Once I did get the kit all set up and now know what to do, putting together other kits will be a breeze.
