Very good quality for the price, I'd like they sounded louder without climbing up the volume knob, but the sound is good enough for a big and open terrrace like mine

WARNING TO BUYERS: The sticker on the rear of my 6 units were upside down. This matters because the instructions state that the unit must be correctly oriented vertically (tweeter above woofer) or horizontally with the tweeter to the left if you want water resistance. If I oriented the speakers based on the direction of the sticker on my units, I'd have done so upside-down and potentially compromised its waterproofness. REVIEW: I'll keep this short. These speakers sound pretty decent, but I do believe (and the included manual suggests) they need time to break in to truly open up their sound. Out of the box, I was only really satisfied with these when I cranked the tone control on my receiver to -6 Treble (max) and +6 Bass (max) as they were so bright at lower volumes. They seem to roll off at around 120hz - so pair them with a sub if that matters to you. They've since started to ease into a more well rounded sound - and I'm very satisfied given that outdoor audio is kind of a nightmare to begin with. They're VERY well built. These things are tanks - and very easy to install. The mounting system is sturdy and I couldn't be happier with the build quality.

These are really great speakers for the price. I installed 2 pair of these at my old house and just had 2 pair installed at my new house. The installer was really impresses with the sound quality - he was trying to sell me some other speakers that were 3x more.

Absolutely love the speakers. Fantastic sound even before break in and great looks. Just went through Hurricane Ivan with them on a covered screened in pool area with no problem. Highly recommended.
Nice, inexpensive, easy to mount.

Put these and a small BT amp under the eaves on my deck. Decent sound thus far but they still need to break in some. They should smooth out nicely. Wish they had a little more heavy bass but nothing a sub woofer won't fix after I get the roof on it : )

Too big and heavy...unfortunately Monoprice charges 15% restocking and shipping is $106 per pair to return so a true waste of money.

Coupled these to a small bluetooth capable amplifier push 50x2. I am pleasantly surprised how well the combination works. Even at full power I am hearing clean, crisp sound.

The speakers are very well built and the mount is solid and practical. As far as sound, they sound Great especially at such a low price. They could use a little more bass since they are outside without any walls. I adjusted for bass on the receiver. The speakers can get really loud so still good.

Extended break in is recommended and this review is based on listening out of the box through 30-40 hours. As expected the lower frequencies were a bit lacking and a bit overwhelmed by the relatively bright tweeter. Having said that, I was pleased with the overall sound, especially compared to the previous, more expensive outdoor speakers. Listened with two different mass produced receivers and had similar results. Playing at higher volumes produced clear well defined music and was more enjoyable than expected. Assuming the 6.5 woofers loosen up and the sound becomes more balanced I would easily give them 4 stars regardless of the price. Considering the cost and apparent build quality, I can recommend this product without hesitation..

Good sound and sturdy construction. Much better design than the 15 year old Polks that they replaced.

They look nice and the price is right. Mounting was a breeze. You do get what you pay for and that includes lots of high end and not a lot of bass. Great for backround music, not so great for pumping out the jams.

Great find, replaced cheap builder grade outdoor speakers using a Sonos connect amp. Sounds 100% better. Thinking about adding a sub for the bottom end, then my outdoor area will be ready for the summer.

Haven't had these too long yet, but have been pretty impressed. Replaced some 10yo Boston Acoustics of the same size. To me they sound just as good. Maybe a little light on some of the mid range but that can easily be EQ'd. Will they last as long as the BA's? Yet to be seen. They look very well built except for the wire terminals which are CHEAP. Wish they could have been brass at least but oh well. These speakers were probably 1/5th the price. They look good and sound good so far. Made it through most of a Texas Summer. We'll see

Needed 4 speakers FAST to replace some Boston Acoustic that died after 10 years. I paid dearly for the BA's but they lasted 10 years. These were on sale and could get here in time for our party. When they showed up I was impressed with how well built they are. The wiring posts are not so great, but the speaker cabinet is well built and tight. The mounting bracket is sturdy. I put them up and we immediately had a tropical storm so they got about 25" of rain over a few days. No problem. Have them attached to a speaker selector powered with a 300W amp. I can drive them to about 70% of their rated max and they sound great. That is much louder than I need. Lower volumes and I do need to boost the mids just a little. All in all it was a great purchase I made in desperation. If they last 2 years they will have to same bang for the buck as the BA's Any more and it will be icing! We shall see....

These speakers sound very good. They seem weather proof after having them outside for over a year. One minor flaw, as others have mentioned a grill will occasionally pop off. A little glue will fix that. As a reference point, I also have a pair of Polk Atrium 8's. Do the Atrium's sound a little better than these? Yes, but not a huge difference. Also the Atrium's are $500 a pair, these are $89 a pair. If you are on the fence, just buy them already, you won't be disappointed.
