I'm using this to get 5.1 surround audio from my Apple TV HDMI output to my (old) receiver that has only optical inputs. The audio and video are perfectly in sync every time, and the video quality is outstanding. This is the perfect solution for my application!

I have a 30' HDMI cable plugged into a projector, and this switch excels where others failed, because it is powered, it "boosts" the signal of some of my weaker devices enough that I can get HDLC at 4k, 30hz 4:2:2 Also, love the auto sense, switcher, and ability to hook up an optical out for HDMI. Waiting for the day that someone comes out with one of these that has HDMI-ARC audio split output for use with soundbar (and projector that doesn't have the correct HDMI-ARC output).
Does exactly what it should, and at this price is a no brainer

Works perfectly! It took a little bit of setup to get the audio extraction working but now it takes all my input devices, sends 5.1 surround to my speakers, and everything comes into the TV just fine. Great product!

Works as advertised. Caught it on sale and saved a few bucks. I might add that is was at least a hundred dollars less than the switches I had been looking at on other sites and has more features. I needed it for my bedroom TV because my older LCD only has two inputs.
Does exactly what I need!

I've had this HDMI switch for 3 months and it's great. I have an older projector with 1 HDMI input and an older AV receiver with 1 Optical input and no HDMI. Now I can have 4 inputs attached and get digital audio output and don't have to unplug HDMI cables. I've successfully used the following components: Apple TV 4K Playstation 5 Panasonic UltraHD Blu-ray player DP-UP420 Playstation Classic HDMI to USB-C cable to Macbook Pro 2019 I've also used the switcher to send video to an LG UHD computer monitor 32UK50T. The auto switching works great. Rarely do I ever have to make a manual selection of inputs, or toggle the EDID settings. The other great thing with this box is I can Airplay music from my iPhone to my Apple TV, and send the sound through my receiver, with the projector off. I wish it had an internal IR receiver but the included IR cable is fine. The remote feels like an afterthought but it's also never really needed. Glad it includes a mini optical adapter.
Works Great with PS5 Xbox Series X if you need Optical Out.

This won't do 4K at 120 or other stuff like that. It does 4K at 60. I only have 1080P at 60 so that is all I can test. I get zero sync black outs on video as well. I have had zero issues since I've owned it. I'll upgrade one day to a 4K at 120Hz or something when I have a display that is capable of that speed.

Compact, light weight, inexpensive 4X1 HDMI ports. Perfect for the average home entertainment system.
Would be nice if audio ( ARC ) worked and tech support actually helped

I want to like this item..... I really do. I can get the video to work on two devices hooked into it ( PS3 and Nintendo Switch ) but the love of everything I can'y get audio to work. It defaults to TV and does not work with my ARC. I have anew TV and soundbar and the switch will not recognize it. Tech support is non existent being they will not return any emails. Otherwise..... It's a solid item, has it's own PSU and probably works nicely....... probably...
Very Pleased

With auto source (EDID) it makes the remote control almost superfluous. That's an added feature my previous HDMI switch from Monoprice did not have. Setup was plug and play, couldn't have been easier. The instructions suggest disconnecting from power source when not in use so even though I only disconnect at night, a power switch would be convenient but as far as I'm concerned it's 5 stars. My surround sound system is 5.1 and no problems there.
Solved my lip sync issues

I recently bought a Sonos Beam soundbar and connected it to my TVs optical out. This caused lip sync issues for my TiVo, Xbox One and Roku ultra. Now all of my devices are connected to the Switch which separates out the audio before passing video to the tv. No more lip sync issues with Dolby Digital 5.1 signals. Auto input works great, switching to whichever device is most recently switched on.
