A: This piece smells very bad, like formaldehyde and VOCs. We could not get it to air out, even after 2 days with a window open.

This is impossible to put together. The first step of the directions is “assemble bookcase”. No kidding. HOW?! Not a single piece was labeled, but the directions referred to lettered pieces. Save your sanity and save your money. I would give zero stars if I could. Also - it arrived 2 weeks later than originally scheduled.

I give it 4.5 stars, but would give 5 if one of the cross pieces wasn't broken. I think I'll be able to fix it with some super glue, but I shouldn't need to. it was pretty easy to put together, and I really like the walnut finish.

We ordered 2 for my daughter! Put together the first one. Took some patience, but it was perfect. To my surprise the white was more of a stain, white wash look, which was AMAZING! Go to open the second box, send direct from the warehouse, so packaged individually. I’m super excited, but as I’m pulling the pieces out, I’m like whoa hello white! Get more together to see, UGH, 2 different finishes! Of course I love the white wash look AND have no idea how to get a second one like that…sweet Joyce at customer service over the phone had no idea…I’ve searched all over, even emailed the parent company of the book case to get another one… Long story, BUT bookcase is perfect for a kids room, dressy, without the stress of destroying good furniture

This shelf was poorly made. It arrived broken in multiple spots and just not well made. The sides were falling apart and had the staples showing.

Arrived broken so I'll have to return - the top piece of the shelf had 3 large cracks in it - not sure if it was shipped that way or if the shipping process caused the damage. Overall, not a bad product for the price, but not very well made either.

I’ve ordered three of these book cases and only one is built. The other two came with broken pieces or major imperfections. I couldn’t even switch them out because so many pieces were bad. It’s really pretty and wasn’t difficult to put together but seems wobbly.
