This had everything you need and turned out perfect. It did take some time to plan out the design and carefully place the tiles, but the result is gorgeous.
Fun but messy!

The tray itself is nice quality and I like that they provide example designs to follow or you can create your own. Laying the tile was easy and relaxing. The grout portion was more tricky for me. The included bowl is too small for the full cement packet so I did it in a few batches. The instructions say to add 50 ml of water, but I didn't have anything to measure that exactly so just went off of consistency. I ended up with some cracks and bubbles in my finished tray and it was hard to sponge all of the extra grout out of the nooks and crannies. But even though it didn't turn out perfect I still think it looks nice and was a fun craft.

This is my first time mosaic-ing, was very easy and fun to do. Probably my number one favorite Mondo Llama kit I’ve tried so far. Please come out with more shapes and colors! I’m definitely buying another one regardless! My only minor issue was a little cracking/air bubbles in the cement after drying, I wish I had saved the leftover cement in a ziplock bag or something if possible, to fill them in after. I also felt the mixing bowl was a bit too small, so I used a larger paper bowl from home instead, to avoid making a mess.
Not my choice

This was a lot to put together. I know it is rated for a higher age, and that is definitely necessary. Every tile is laid individually and the set really should have come w small tweezers to set them in place. Finished morter doesnt look great.

This tray is way better quality than you would expect. There are a LOT of little tiles to place so this is definitely a project for an older child. My daughter is 6 and couldn’t stay focused for long enough to finish in one sitting. But it’s really great and good quality.

This mosaic tray kit was fun for both my girls. I liked that this came with everything it needed to complete. It took them alittle bit to figure out but once they got the hang of it, they loved creating. Both the girls loved the color and how it turned out.

This mosaic kit was super fun for my daughter to use. The tray is nice looking and a great size. The kit includes everything to make the project and was easy for the kids to do themselves. The colors weren’t my daughter’s favorite together to match her existing decoration in her room which is the reason one star less.

I really enjoyed working on this craft kit. It took me about two weeks, with working on it between mom duties. Really, had I the time, it could have been completed in less than a week. This is because you have to wait several hours for the glue and grout to dry (separately). The kit came with everything that you need to complete the project. First, I finalized the design and placed each piece on the board. I think I only had one extra piece leftover. Then, I removed each piece in sections as to not lose the design to add a dob of glue in place of each piece/block (see image). After an overnight dry, I then mixed the grout and added it by row using the wood stick provided. Note that there is more than enough grout! You can literally pour it on the blocks and use the mini squeegee to spread the grout across. The dried grout easily comes off the blocks with the provided sponge! Note to make sure the grout is the right consistency. Mine must have been too watery because I had cracks once dried. This wasn’t a big deal because I added a layer of sealant to the top. This was not included and I recommend it if you plan to actually use the tray. I recommend the instructions add more information about the grout, techniques, etc…There were a few design ideas in the instructions. Further, I wish there were more blocks provided and a better color variation. The blues are too close in color for my preference.
