Q: Hi, what is the opening measurement between the 2 poles/side supports, on the 18 inch side? (I am wondering if I will be able to slide in crates that are 16 inches wide) Thanks for any info

Item was perfect for the spot I needed it. Unfortunately, it was missing 16 clips and had a bent shelf. We are keeping it and ordering clips from Amazon because it’s too much trouble to take back.
