I have to go 3 stars. Pros - very easy to make, fermenter is decent and works also as a bottling bucket for other brews. Directions are easy to read. Its good to get someone into brewing Cons - the beer does not taste good at all. Very malty and dark for an IPA. No hop flavor. The bottles are okay. But would just recommend getting glass bottles. If you are looking for more advanced brews, all grain, more flavor, or just a good beer in general. Do not get this. If you like malty, heavy bodied beers. This would be perfect for you. But i would not call it an "IPA" as its very dark and has no hop aroma or flavor. All in all the experience wasnt bad. The beer that was made was not good.

My Beer is still brewing. I started it on the first so I have 14 days. I added some fruit honey and ginger and a little Raw cane sugar.

After visiting several microbreweries in Oregon and Washington, I was hooked. After doing some research, I chose Mr. Beer to try my hand at brewing my own beer. The shipping was quick, the instructions were clear, and the beer is REALLY GOOD! The hardest part was getting the lid off the can! I am really excited about my new hobby. Brewing my own beer was something I've wanted to do for a long time but I really didn't h ave the space or funds to buy all of the equipment I thought I needed. Then I came across Mr. Beer. It is super easy and beginner friendly. The customer service has been awesome and I'm now addicted to homebrewing. I plan to brew beer with Mr. Beer refils and recipes for a long time.
