The Basil scented liquid dish soap has a cool, crisp scent that is uplifting & grounding, familiar & exotic – all at one time. Such an inviting herbal smell, the garden's friendly boost of green. Our biodegradable formula dish liquid cuts through grease and is designed for hand washing dishes, pots, and pans. The liquid dish detergent contains plant-derived cleaning agents and other thoughtfully chosen ingredients that make dishes clean and bright. It's a Dish Soap made without parabens, phthalates, or animal-derived ingredients. And of course, this is a cruelty-free formula product. Packaging contains recycled content. Bottle (less cap) is made with at least 30% post-consumer plastic. Also available in other garden-inspired scents and products such as Hand Soap and Multi-Surface Cleaner. The smell is nice and not too strong when washing the dishes, but it’s strange that the scent never completely goes away. Every dish retains the fragrance, and when I use them, it feels like I’m eating food with perfume. Disgusting…. I will never buy it again.

Used to get lemon scented dawn but since they got rid of that I've had a hard time finding one I didn't hate getting the smell of on my hands. I love this. My second favorite Mrs Meyers scent overall

I usually purchase seventh generations dish soap in Orange but it was out of stock so I decided to purchase Meyers Basil. I WILL NEVER AGAIN purchase this scent. There’s nothing refreshing or crisp about this smell. It doesn’t even smell like basil. It smells like cheap laundry detergent STAY AWAY.

Love the smell, and it is effective for my needs. But I will no longer be purchasing due to the ridiculous plastic waste on the refills. Mrs. Meyers brand should exercise more responsibility and utilize less wasteful packaging ESPECIALLY with refills.

I don’t know if it’s just me but the smell is a bit strong than what I’m used to. Like perfume strong. Also feels a bit drying on my hands. For the price, I was expecting it to be gentle on the hands and tougher on grease.

My favorite scent is between this and the lavender. Nothing overly strong or offensive to even the most sensitive picky people. Clean and fresh. The soap strength and suds last a good amount of time while doing dishes in water without feeling like I’m constantly having to add more to my sponge. Might not cut grease quite as easy as some other brands, however this is much easier on my skin and still does the job!
