Muir Glen Organic Tomato Basil Pasta Sauce - Case of 12/23.5 oz

My whole family loved it. They are all ready asking when we are going to have it again. We are it on ravioli and with baked chicken.

It doesn't have a bad taste, but it's not something I would go looking to buy over other options. If you use it, put it with Italian sausage vs Turkey or even ground beef. The flavor in the Italian sausage will give it more of what it is missing.

Out of the jar, the sauce is quite acidic, so I added some seasonings to mellow it down. However, the tomato basil flavor was great.

(I’ve watched my diet and limited my sugar intake for years.) I was happy to find it. I was pleased to discover an authentic tomato flavor and good texture. It saved me a little time when I tried a new lasagna recipe and was a good value. I would purchase again!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using the Muir Glen Organic canned tomatoes with basil for years to my my homemade tomato sauce. I like to keep a jarred pasta sauce in hand for those days that I don't have the hours needed for a home made sauce. Since I know Muir Glen makes a quality product I figured that the pasta sauce would be just as good. I was wrong! This jar of Muir Glen Tomato Basil pasta sauce really needed some help. The positive aspect was that it had a terrific basil flavor, but that is where it ended for me. The tomatoes themselves almost tastes sour. This sauce tasted flat and wasn't exciting at all. I guess I will just have to stick to making my own. This isn't even worth keeping around for in a pinch. I had to simmer it for a couple hours with some carrot and meatballs in it just to make it edible. I will not be purchasing this product again.

The flavor was very mild, which I enjoyed, but someone looking for a bold taste might not be as pleased. It tasted like a homemade sauce and I loved the hint of basil! (and it’s organic)

I’m also not sure if the sauce was missing salt or something else but I’m positive something was missing. I had to enhance the sauce to my taste however I’m sure people that don’t like a lot of seasoning if their food would like it

Very convenient to make pasta at home using the pasta sauce. Just cook your pasta and dump the sauce it is that easy. This has become our favorite sauce.

It wasn't too acidic or too sweet which some sauces are. We used it with organic chicken ravioli's and some added parm cheese in the oven. It was excellent. I would definitely purchase this again!

Like that sauce is organic and that no sugar added. Has a great tomato basil favor. Made Chicken Parm with noodles and entire meal tasted wonderful. Nice overall flavor and texture to sauce. Can taste the basil and other seasoning in the sauce. Recommend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love this sauce. I have always been skeptical of canned or jarred sauces. They never have that homemade taste. However, Muir Glen Tomato Basil Pasta Sauce with no sugar added changed my mind. The flavor is good but not overpowering, no aftertaste, the ingredients are clean and not bad on the calories (80 for 1/2 cup). If I had to say one thing I didn’t like was the chunks of tomatoes, I personally prefer a smoother sauce but again, that’s a personal preference and too be honest there were a ton of chunks. Definitely recommend.

I used the sauce both in the meatloaf and to use as a sauce on top of it. This sauce helped make the dish have even more of an Italian flavor. It was delicious! Everyone wanted seconds. The pasta sauce had some bigger chunks of tomatoes, and I could taste the basil in it as well. I really liked that this sauce was organic and that it had no sugar added. I would definitely recommend this pasta sauce.

My family doesn't like chunks, so I blended it smooth. It is not a sweet sauce in the slightest, so if you like you tomato sauce slightly sweet, you will need to add sweetner. The kids liked it.

The sauce covered the pasta evenly and everyone at the table agreed it was a fine meal.
