A: Hello WHY - Thank you for taking an interest in this product. The mat is natural rubber with a polyester fabric sheet in the middle for added strength, which does not require a prop 65 warning. I expected a rubber smell but this was a very strong like mothballs and made me feel nauseated when working out with my face close to it. I aired it out hoping that might help but it hasn’t dissipated yet.

Super slippery, wouldn’t recommend. It might be okay if you stand on it when lifting weights or something like that, but it sucks as a yoga mat. My hands slide on it even though I don’t sweat much at all. Disappointing for the price point—just get the lululemon mat instead.

I do mostly power and vinyasa classes but occasionally I will do Yin or a slower class. PROS: It doesn't move on the floor. This mat is super thick and cushioned, it feels nice on my knees and wrists. CONS: It is very heavy and bulky. I find that I slip on this mat fairly often. It is super frustrating and I cannot trust my hands to stay put in downward facing dog or wheel pose, for example. OVERALL: I will continue using it for relaxing classes but skip it for sweatier, more active classes. The rubber smell was never too bad but a year into using it and I can still smell it slightly so if you're senstive to smells keep that in mind.

Texture was weird and it was slippery. It was hard to clean because of the texture. I wish I would have just gotten an expensive mat to begin with. I have this away after a couple months.

At first, I was thrilled with this mat! It’s a good thickness, doesn’t slip & is a really pretty design. However, after just two months of use, it’s falling apart. It’s basically rubbing off in high use spots (hands, feet) and I’ve ended up covered in little pieces of mat after classes. I do practice often & take hot yoga classes, so wondering if it just can’t handle the high heat & sweat.

the CUTEST mat ever!!! I’m in love, I use it for weight training and yoga classes and it makes me really want to get to the gym more it’s gorgeous, sturdy, and worth every penny! It is a bit heavy and seems to unroll backwards In but I’ll buy a mat strap and not sweat the rest.

I LOVE this mat!!! 100% worth the investment. It doesn’t slide around at all on a wood floor and is nice and thick. Perfect length and width. I’m pretty new with yoga but I’m so happy I invested in this mat. It made my class so much more enjoyable without all the slipping and sliding in between poses. Smells like rubber because it is a rubber mat but I don’t mind it at all.
