Nature Valley Crunchy Oats & Dark Chocolate Bars are the perfect snack that combines the best of oats and dark chocolate. 🍫🌾 They are super crunchy with just the right amount of sweetness from the dark chocolate, which isn’t too sugary. I love that each bite gives me a satisfying energy boost, with a nice hearty texture from the oats. 🏃‍♀️ However, they can be a little greasy, and I find that they tend to crumble easily, so I have to be careful when eating them. Still, they are a great option for a quick, satisfying snack when I need a little pick-me-up between meals. 😊

My 4 year old has had one of these every morning for YEARS. She looks forward to her “chocolate go bar”, we have to make sure we are stocked at all times. One bite into the new recipe and she said “momma what happened?” I had a bite and we threw it in the trash. It tastes like nothing with a hint of fake sugar? You changed the recipe and now we have to find something else. We won’t be buying them again unless I hear you changed it back. Like everyone else, we’re disappointed.

I love this as a healthy snack, with slow release energy and not to sweet taste. I have it mid afternoon to get me between meals. Great crunch and easy to open packaging.

I'm disappointed too. I've been noticing that these aren't as satisfying as a morning snack as they used to be... um, my whole life! My mother bought these when I was a kid. She always got cinnamon which I can never find anymore. But beyond that... 1st I noticed that the wrapping now sucks! You can't open the granola bar without scissors! Anyone notice that? Just use paper, it's better for the environment anyway. Part of the unique thing about these bars and why you were so successful with them for so long was the crunchiness... so who cares that they were "Too hard" before. People bought them and ate them anyway because they were so good and with few ingredients. NOW for TASTE >> Eeeeewh! What is that Chemical situation going on in these bars!!??? I feel like I just ate something bad for me. Is that aspartain? Idk how to spell that. Anyway.... bring back everything that they used to be or that's definitely my last box I'll ever buy. How do you screw up a granola peanut butter bar that's been successful for decades? And the chocolate one too.... No pieces anymore? And where are all of the Cinnamon ones? Thank you

I use to eat 3 or 4 chocolate chunck granola bars a morning. Now I can't find them. Bring the orginal bars back please

This was my favorite until the recipe changed. It just tastes like the oats and honey now and is missing the chocolate bites it uses to have. It just tastes off and like it is stale. Please bring back the old recipe!!

I used to buy 4-6 boxes a month of the oats and dark chocolate flavor. I realized recently that the recipe must have changed. They taste like they left out all the flavor. They taste terrible now and I loved them before the change. Sadly, I will not be purchasing these anymore. I am sad they made this decision.

I love the Dark Chocolate Peanut Chewy Granola Bars-eat them every day for breakfast at work. But today my last bite (the rest of the bar was okay) of the bar had a terrible chemical taste and ever since I swallowed my throat is sort of burning and my mouth feels funny. These used to be my favourite snack but the last 2 bars i have opened have been absolutely disgusting and taste of horrid chemicals, definitely not dark chocolate. I've just thrown the entire box away because they're inedible and have seen many other people also complaining of the new awful taste.

VERY disappointed with the recipe change and removal of dark chocolate pieces - what exactly makes it 'dark chocolate' now? The taste has certainly changed so much so my son noticed the difference and no longer craves them. This used to be a must have on my grocery list for my home. Now, it's disheartening to admit but they're absolutely gross! Where's the original recipe?! I loved you Nature Valley, but this is where we part ways.......

The chocolate has been removed from these "Dark Chocolate" crunch bars. The flavor is terrible now, and they aren't even crunchy! I purchase other flavors of these bars, and they all seem to be fine. Not sure what's wrong with the Dark Choco ones, but avoid them until the recipe is fixed!

What happened to this recipe? Our family has eaten the Oats and Dark Chocolate bars pretty much daily for years, it’s actually the only crunchy granola bar we buy. Our last two boxes purchased from different stores in the last couple of weeks have been horrible. There is basically no dark chocolate now which is very obvious by the new lighter color. Not only that, the bars have almost zero flavor and actually have a stale/old texture. At this point it’s false advertising because there is no way this product should be labeled as Dark Chocolate because it absolutely is not. Why mess with a recipe that people clearly preferred over whatever this new recipe is “based on all the people complaining about the same things”. Definitely not buying these anymore. Super disappointed.

I have been buying these granola bars for my family for quite some time (4+ years) and just recently, half of the box had different bars in it. They were gross and not the same flavor. As I looked around to find a way to call customer service, I stumbled upon the reviews to find I am not the only one! Here is me **hoping** I got a bad box and that this is not a new recipe!

Man! these used to be so good and chocolatey! I used to buy them by the box. They changed the recipe and I wont eat them again.

Very disappointed. I have been eating these for about 3+ years and the quality has taken a deep dive. One in about a dozen boxes that I buy will actually have chocolate in the bars. What is going on Nature Valley? We pay more for less.....Used to be my favorite crunch granola bar.

Everyone complaining needs to shut up and admit they want a chocolate bar. Nature Valley crunchy bars were always dry and subtly flavored, the La Croix of the candy bar aisle. I keep these on-hand at my office to serve as a healthy dessert option. It scratches the itch for something sweet just fine. I was unaware they once had chunks of chocolate, as some users claim. Seeing as how none of the other flavors ever had chunks of anything, I imagine they're mistaken and probably cite the mandela effect in their defense. Idiots.

No longer container chocolate, false advertising!

No longer contain dark chocolate. I have eaten these bars everyday for a years. Now I must find a new breakfast bar because these no longer have any favor and definitely no chocolate.
