Summary of reviews
The recent changes to the Nature Valley peanut butter crunchy granola bars have left many guests disappointed, citing a decline in flavor and quality. While some still enjoy the crunch and convenience of these bars, others have noted issues with staleness and a lack of peanut butter taste. Despite the mixed feedback, the bars remain a popular choice for quick snacks and breakfast options, especially for those who appreciate the peanut butter flavor.

Almost ' FALSE LABELLING '

I selected the 10 pack carton of CRUNCH PEANUT BUTTER bars and was shocked when I opened the box with only 5 packs inside. I agree, there were 10 bars, but most brands package them individually. The smaller print indicted they were 2 bars per pack, but when in a rush shopping for the family, I don't always stop to read every detail. I think that was VERY SNEEKY packing information.

I have never seen a company with worse quality control! You really roll the dice when buying these bars. There's a 50/50 chance you'll just get inedible garbage when buying these. I'm really getting tired of opening a package and biting into a stale, hard bar. It happens way too often. I just bought a 24 bar box and the first two bars I opened were stale and inedible. They're going back to the store. I'm beginning to think Nature Valley doesn't even have a quality control department. If they do, they should all be fired because they're absolutely useless. Fire everyone in the packaging department, too. Checking date codes doesn't work on these bars. It doesn't make any difference. Newer doesn't mean fresh. So, they're either packaging stale product or the packaging is failing. I will say that the small boxes have improved lately. But the big boxes are almost guaranteed to be stale. I used to throw them away but not any longer. They're all going back with a complaint. If a company can't even ensure a fresh product, you have to wonder what else is getting by their QC. It's a shame. I really do like the bars if they're fresh. But if I wanted to gamble, I'd go to Las Vegas.

These have been a staple for me ever since I was little! Be aware they do get pretty messy especially on the go!

This was my favorite afternoon snack. But it seems the recipe has changed. Now the bar tastes more like an Oats and Honey bar with a bit of peanut butter on top…. Not very good at all. I certainly wouldn’t call it “crunchy”. I’m throwing the rest of the box in the trash can.

These are a great snack for anytime of day. I like to have mine in a yogurt. It add depth with different textures and flavors. The nutritional value is worth the extra effort to add some through the day. The packaging is individual wrapped for easy travel and have on the go. This is why they are so good. They stay fresh with each individual wrapped snack. The flavors come in many different options. I like the peanut butter and the oats and honey. So good.

Nature Valley Crunchy Peanut Butter Granola Bars have been a staple in my home for 20 years. Until now, I don't know why Nature Valley would change something that was not broken. The new bars do not have any peanut butter taste and actually taste stale. This is very sad as we loved your product.

Really good snack to have on hand. Love that it’s made with whole grain oats and real peanut butter. There’s no artificial colours or sweeteners so it super healthy. I love how it’s individually wrapped making a good easy snack on the go.

I love this product, it tastes so sweet and crunchy giving a great vibe. I love the texture, very crunchy and doesn't hurt the gum or teeth. It's packaged attractively in a paper pack with colourful designs. It is fresh and good. It's good value for money and very healthy.
A staple.

Something has changed with the peanut butter crunchy granola bars. I don't taste the peanut butter anymore. I've been buying these for years. Not any more. Time to find a different brand. Someone made a bone head decision and approved this product change.

Used to love this and the Dark Chocolate Crunchy Granola Bars. Now both have about 5% of the those ingredients. Will not be purchasing either of these two items again. Very disappointed with changes by Nature Valley. Would give zero stars if an option.

Just opened a new box of Peanut Butter crunchy granola bars that expire March 2025. They taste stale and have absolutely no peanut butter flavor. They taste like you are eating cardboard! What is going on with these Nature Valley granola bars?

I’m so sad, this used to be one of my go-to snacks while teaching school. I took a break during the summer and the box I just opened tastes different. Less peanut buttery and more sweet. Ugh!!!! I’m not interested in buying them anymore. That’s 360 bars a year I will not be buying. So sad.

I buy the large boxes and have one for breakfast and one for lunch most everyday. I can understand a glitch now and then with the quality, it happens. But is happens more and more. The individual package are not fully closed/sealed so when I have one, it is stale and not crunchy. Other times the bars inside have fallen apart somehow and I have to pour the crumbles into my hand to eat. And I know they are packaged by weight, but the bars do seem to keep getting smaller. That could just be me. I have enjoyed the Nature Valley bars since I was a child. I am so disappointed that I sought out a way to voice these. I will continue to purchase but it is getting close to finding a better quality bar...

Your website claims 'real' ingredients, but the label on the Peanut Butter granola bar says engineered ingredient and refers to the website. Of course, there is no mention under that product of what engineered products means.

We're sorry for any disappointment. GMOs are used very commonly in the food industry, and if a food or a beverage product lists corn, soy, canola or sugar as an ingredient - and the product is not organic - it likely contains GMOs. GMOs are safe – we would not use them if we thought otherwise. Safe food is, and always has been our number one priority. Global food and safety regulatory bodies including the FDA (Food & Drug Administration) and the WHO (World Health Organization) have also verified their safety. Hope this helps!
