A: Hello there! This is not oil free. While it shouldn’t clog pores it’s important to note this is our thickest, most occlusive moisturizer (great for “slugging”). Be sure to patch test and apply SPF daily.

Q: Hi! Is this something I can use after tretinoin? I was prescribed that for my acne, I use it at night and benzoyl peroxide in the morning and my skin is so dry and flaky.

Absolutely the best moisturizer for all skin types! I'm currently coming out of a 30-day peel, which has been extremely drying, to help with my perimenopausal skin blemishes, dryness, and dullness that I am experiencing. NOTHING has moisturized my skin during this process the way this has! It's extremely effective, but so lightweight! I love it so much that I've canceled my other subscription skin care items and intend to make this my daily staple. PLEASE MAKE THIS IN A JUMBO SIZE! 😍 FYI, I've also switched to the plant ceremide for my night moisturizer. Equally as fabulous, but more emollient! Had already been using the body items for a while now, but so excited to find great products for my facial routine!

I'm a recent excema sufferer on my face :/ I've tried SO many products but everything made it sting and so much worse. Then I read the reviews here about the Marshmallow Root Barrier Balm, gave it a try, and it has saved me!!! For anyone with sensitive skin, this is so worth the try! I know the struggle, but give this a go! So soothing and moisturizing, I've even popped it into the fridge and then at night it's a nice cooling mask!

I bought this a few days ago and really enjoy it; I’ve been using it essentially as a second moisturizer to lock in all of my other skincare in the evening before I go to bed. My skin feels nice and smooth when I wake up in the morning without feeling sticky or greasy. I really recommend it for an extra step to ensure hydration in the dry, winter months.

This is hands down the best and most soothing moisturizer 💙 I have extremely sensitive skin that often is really red and inflamed. I've tried lots of different moisturizers but this is the only one that helps calm my skin. My skin instantly feels cooled and it's even helped the texture. I hope this product exists forever because I'm a customer for life 😊

I actually ordered this by accident. (Thought I was getting the overnight oatmeal mask) But, I am SO glad I made that mistake! I am someone who suffers from dry, sensitive skin - especially in the cold, Canadian winters - but this has been my savour! I use it three to four times per week before I go to bed, and wake up with smooth, hydrated skin for the remainder of the day! 10/10

My skin is extremely dry and reactive with my rosacea and hormonal acne regimen. The weather change we took a turn for the worst but between this and a PGA serum I haven’t felt so moisturized.

Do you have dry skin that also likes to be oily because it lives for the drama? Then this moisturizer is for you!!! I am a skincare junkie (of all price ranges) and rarely repurchase products. This moisturizer changed all of that. It is perfect for night, when we want something really hydrating and creamy, but won’t break you out. My skin feels plump and glowy by morning and I’m not a walking grease ball. My biggest recommendation is that less is more with this product. Take a quarter sized amount and put a dot on the main parts of your face and neck. Then tap (don’t rub!) the lotion in until you can feel it all over your face

This is a true thick balm consistency so if you’re looking for a regular moisturizer this may not be it because it kind of dries to a matte texture. My skin is normal to dry and I only use this for the “sandwich method” per a video from Dr. Sam Ellis on YT where she shows how to use the Naturium Retinaldehye serum between layers of moisturizer. My skin broke out horribly from the adapaline/Differin years ago but using the combo of this moisturizer and the mentioned serum my skin hasn’t had any negative side effects. My jawline hormonal acne (in my 30s) is healing and my skin hasn’t been flaky, tight, or dry. I do use Cosrx peptide serum toner and sometimes their snail serum too before the moisturizer and retinol sandwich. A major con is the moisturizer has a plasticy or rubbery scent in the jar but once applied to the skin I can’t smell it. It’s fine but I think I wouldn’t repurchase if I can get another cream to work with the retinol serum.

I used this after using this brands retinol once a week at night it is creamy and soothing and it seemed to help the flakiness that comes with retinol use at first. I’m 52 and I have Pcos and rosacea and dry mature skin. It also seemed to reduce my crows feet when I smile! It does have an eraser type smell as other people have stated but it went away after a few minutes for me and didn’t bother me at all nor did it break me out and my skin is super sensitive I feel

I like that it helps with some redness in my cheeks but I dislike that it’s not very hydrating for those with dry, dehydrated skin. It wouldn’t really be considered an every day moisturizer… probably just one I would use if skin is more sensitized. Also, this balm smells like a pencil eraser or something.

This cream is extremely moisturizing. I've been having issues with dry skin and nothing was helping, but after a few uses of this product, my dry flakes are gone. This does leave my face feeling a little greasy, so I can only use it at night, but I feel like it does a great job at locking in my other skin serums. I highly recommend.
