So far so good! I used the skinceutical retinol .05 (I know it’s a totally different product) and it just wasn’t doing anything but drying me out. I picked this up and used this in my pm routine in my skin cycling and haven’t had any issues! Very gentle for beginners! My “skin wizard” also recommended this too. I think people are missing out on some really good products bc of how the brand was launched.

After using retinol for a while, I decided to go for retinaldehyde because they're more potent as they're a conversion shorter. I did not suffer from any negative effects from the switch, I think because I had been using retinol before.

I bought this 1 year from now, and when I look at my old pictures and my skin texture now, THE DIFFERENCE IS CRAZY. I was troubled so much by my skin texture that I went online and did so much research. That's when I found out about retinaldehyde, and it's amazing effects on skin texture. Now the only problem was finding a trusted brand that wouldn't cause irritation to my sensitive skin, a crazy purge, burning sensations but STILL gave results. When I stumbled upon naturium and found out they sold retinal in 0.05% I was HOOKED, i began to read the reviews and almost didn't believe them (they were too good to be true). After just deciding to trust the brand and the reviews I began to use it with the right routine and BOOM, my skin texture and scarring from the bumps went away COMPLETELY. Naturium did amazing with the product's ingredients.

Switched to this a week ago and my skin is already much more even and bright, especially the days after I use it. It is strong though so start progressively. I felt a burning sensation at first but that’s to be expected, and I didn’t experience any flaking or dryness.

Love this! One of the few things I’ve used on my skin that has actually made a difference. The first couple of weeks I had some flaking but no irritation or extreme breakouts! I started off once every three days and now I’m using it every two. Definitely give it a try, I think you’ll love it!

After switching from a strong retinol serum to this one, I could tell some change in just a little over a month. It denifitely works faster than retinol. If I accidently use too much, I will feel the burning quite quickly, too. A little goes a long way with retinaldehyde. I have not tried other retinaldehyde products to see if this serum works better or not. But for the price and the effects I see on my skin, I'm quite pleased.

Love that it doesn’t have niacinamide because I react badly to that ingredient. This seriously makes a difference I use it every other day but it’s gentle enough to use every day depending on your skin type. Use a pea size amount for your whole face. If you’re having a reaction you might be using too much or just allergic

I really had high hopes for this but sadly it didn’t work for me personally. I have sensitive acne prone skin, with the occasional cystic acne. This made me break out really bad, not a purge break out unfortunately, it made me get really painful cystic acne that refused to go away. I loved the texture and the applicator but sadly the formula didn’t agree with my skin

This retinoid is amazing! I used Skinceuticals for 3 years and decided to switch to a cheaper option. I also wanted to switch from retinol to retinal. I was a little scared to try out new skincare considering my skin was in a good place. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it. No breakouts or crazy fine lines or wrinkles. I’m 38. I still had larger looking pores and some congestion on my nose I didn’t like. This product has made the difference I was looking for! Pores are shrinking and my skin looks so smooth and flawless! I didn’t have any bad reaction or purging because my skin was used to the retinoid. If you’re on the fence, just get it already!

Been using every other day for about a month. the texture is really nice, not sticky at all. I have really sensitive skin and this didnt make my skin feel sensitive or breakout when used properly. One day i used it after an enzyme wash without thinking and my skin did NOT like that. So just be careful using this with other products and do your research! As for results, i think it's slowly starting to improve texture but it will take more long term use to know for sure. However I have noticed that my acne has not been as frequent while using this. Once this bottle is done ill probably move up to the next level.

I like this because I think it’s a better formula than the basic retinol my Derm prescribed that caused a lot of peeling. This gives me noticeable results for texture and did not cause irritation or peeling on my sensitive skin.
