Q: The heading says for Dry Skin but the product says normal to oily skin. Which is it?

A: Someone told me years ago, gel moisturizers are mainly best for oily/combo skin. I just bought it to try because I’m menopausal but still have an oily T-Zone.

Q: Can you tell me why this needs to have blue dye in it? What exactly does that do for your skin? I think that's a horrible ingredient when you've taken the time to remove parabens. I returned mine.

Q: This product seems to be water-based and that would suggest that it goes on before a cream or oil based moisturizer, but this has dimethicone as an ingredient, which is an occlusive. Would I use this before or after a cream based moisturizer?

I have used other brands with the same ingredients and the only difference was the price range. Neutrogena has been on the market since I can remember and I have used several of their products. This face gel is especially helpful for my skin in the summer months and when there is a lot of humidity in the atmosphere. It doesn’t clog my pores and it absorbs quickly into my face. I have very sensitive skin and I have yet to have any breakouts or rashes due to this product. It’s very light but at the same time truly hydrating.

I have been using Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel for years and it was my 'holy Grail" but something changed in the formula. this actually burns my skin when applied. it never did this before. I have a hard time with creams as they can be too greasy and the water gel was perfect. now i have to stop using it because of the burning sensation it causes me. i am so sad this was the best moisturizer on the market in my opinion for me.
Face is swollen, red, itchy. Caution suggested

A pack came free with other neutrogena make-up removing towelettes. I tried these a few times with no problems and then had a mysterious redness and itchiness on my face. At the time, I didn't know why and didn't think this was the cause. Last evening, i used one again and my face broke out immediately. It is swollen and red and itchy. It is red Even where i swiped my neck on one side. I don't have allergies in general so this is completely new.

Love this gel cream! It has a texture which doesn’t feel creamy, however it can be applied similarly with your finger. It hydrates my skin and doesn’t leave any yucky residue. It doesn’t pill when I do wear my makeup over it. Absolutely recommend!
