Why is nobody talking about this? I just recently bought two different Kenra hairspray and they absolutely suck and I bought this one because it was pretty cheap and I had really really good luck with the volumizing shampoo and conditioner. This stuff is amazing. I usually go for the old school Sally stuff cause I know that works and this is right up there with those products from Sally’s anybody who uses Sally’s products knows exactly what I’m talking about. I’m actually shocked that this isn’t being talked about a lot. I usually pull my hair back wet and it’s really hard to get the flyways to stay down once it starts to dry but my hair has not moved, but it’s not crunchy so I know it’s gonna hold up even better when I style it dry…. I’m really impressed…. as for the smell, everybody keeps talking about. I’m wondering if they got a bad batch because mine smells just fine. It smells like hairspray smell. There’s probably like 10 different scents that you get from a hairspray and I don’t know anything out of the ordinary at all. Ps. I very rarely give five star reviews. This is something I will use forever now.

I use to LOVE this hairspray. It was amazing. Why do brands change good formulas? I cannot get over the smell. It’s so strong and leaves traces on anything my hair touches. This is was an absolutely amazing hairspray that has been turned into rubbish.

I love Nexxus shampoos and conditioners and I used the Nexxus Maximum gold hairspray until just days ago when I purchased another. I noticed the design of the can had changed but I assumed the product was the same. Well,,, I don’t believe so because my scalp itched intensely for the 4 days I used it. I had changed absolutely nothing with my hair care routine. It could have only been the hairspray. I was also very disappointed with the hold. Within 2 hours my volume and curl was a separated stringy looking mess. That never happened with the previous Nexxus Maximum hold hairspray. I’m extremely disappointed with this product.

I am really particular with my hair. Spend way to much on it. I get numerous compliments. However.. i started using Nexxus products to help my color last longer. Sulfate Free. I loved how the hairspray kept my hair looking natural and holding my style.... HOWEVER.. the last one i purchase, the smell was horrid. I smelled it ALL DAY.. Not good.. did not hold style, weighed it down, dried it out. And ruined my exspensive color.. My hair was always in Really good condition. Not now... stop changing the formulation of something that was very good.. buyers... stop buying this, return all of them..

It seems that the “new” can also has a “new” formula. Very disappointed with the new one. It does NOT have no where near the “Maxximum” hold as the previous cans. It seems I’m just as upset as some of the other consumers. I wish they would change it back, because trying to find a new hairspray is a headache and wallet ache.

I have always relied on this hairspray, But I don't know what happens with the new formula. It provides absolutely zero hold. Very disappointing and expensive not to work.

Something has changed for the Maximum Hold hair spray when they went to new packaging. I have been using this for years and I have tried 3 different cans of this new style of the can and it does not hold my thin fine hair at all! My hair falls flat with this and it never used to. I am now trying to find something something that was comparable to the old product. Luckily,after buying the first new can and noticing how it didn’t work for my hair, I did find a total of 4 “old” cans at local stores and bought them. I am on my last can. Very disappointed.

This is NOT the same spray as the Maxximum Hold Finishing Mist that I used to purchase from Nexxus for several years - which I loved! It appears more sticky and not as light and doesn't hold as well. I most likely will return and find a new spray. Please bring back the old formula! You'll be losing customers.

They changed this hairspray and it isn't even close to how good it used to be. I have been using this for years but not anymore. I bought 4 cans of the Nexxus Maxximum firm hold hairspray thinking it was the same as the Maxximum finishing mist strong hold hairspray but was I wrong! I'm so disappointed they discontinued the finishing mist AND I WANT MY MONEY BACK for the 4 cans of the crap spray I have!!

I sincerely do not know how this has so many good reviews. I did my hair, and all day could not figure out why I kept smelling cheap balloon rubber. The chemical scent was making me dizzy, it’s terrible! It also just weighed my hair down and felt dirty. Returning this immediately.

This holds my fine hair without looking too unnatural. The big plus is that I was able to use the whole can without it clogging. I've wasted so many other products because the can just would not spray.
