Nizoral® Scalp Itch Relief, 2oz contains maximum strength medicine (Hydrocortisone 1%) to relieve scalp itch. The special medicated solution helps soothe, calm, & hydrate an itchy, irritated scalp; plus it contains aloe, menthol, vitamin E & hyaluronic acid. The tapered bottle tip design helps easily apply the medicated solution that's paraben free, fragrance free. and greaseless.
Directions
-twist the applicator tip to open
-If applying after shampooing, towel dry hair before use.
-squeeze bottle gently to avoid excess dripping.
-apply solution directly to scalp and massage in.

-adults and children 2 years of age and older:
apply to affected area not more than 3 to 4 times daily
-children under 2 years of age:

I’m a young AA woman who’s been dealing with CCCA for the past year and a half. I was getting scalp injections at my dermatologist and used all prescribed medications (oral & topical) to stop my scalp irritation. But none of these treatments worked! I was still in such pain this year that I decided to just try an OTC serum and came across this. Within 2 days my scalp was no longer sore and tender and now a week later there’s no itching or burning at all!! I told my dermatologist and she recommended that I keep using it. This has done in one week what the dermatologist have been trying to do for over a year! It also does not make my hair texture rough and dry like the medications I was prescribed. It does get oily but I’d rather deal with oily than matted hair. Whatever this formula is please never change it !! IT HAS BROUGH ME SUCH RELIEF!!!!! Update: after two weeks I was able to stop using it because my itching and pain is gone!

This winter my scalp became drier and itchier than normal. I use 'clean' shampoos and conditioners, but that didn't seem to be the issue. Went back to the Nizoral shapoo and got the Scalp Itch Relief and after one use the itchiness was 90-95% gone. For the price, this is definitely worth a try. And, I thought I should mention, as an added bonus, I like the way the shampoo smells. Just a clean smell. And my hair seemed to have more volume and was very soft.

The product is so good and gets the job done. My itching was relieved and no sign of dandruff. But the packaging is so bad. It leaks when you pour it on your scalp. And one time Whiles I was using, the tip came off and the whole content poured in my hair.

I’ve used this three days in a row after a particularly bad scalp psoriasis flare up. I was desperate and willing to try anything. My scalp plaques have smoothed out and the itching is nearly nonexistent. I could cry. I haven’t found this kind of relief in years. Or maybe not even at all until I used this stuff. I've had flaky scalp issues for years and had seemingly gotten everything under control. However, once I transitioned to locs, I noticed my scalps would have extreme flare ups during the warmer months. Due to the nature of locs, I'm not able to use just "any ole product", for fear of slippage. But this product not only CALMS my itchy scalp, but after using daily for about a week after an EXTEME flair up, it ELIMINATED all flaking! I am going to purchase the shampoo for my stylist to use at my next appointment. So far, I am absolutely IN LOVE with this brand.
