My grandson has no problems taking the liquid drops as he loves the taste. Hopefully soon melts will be available for 1 year olds to take. My 1 year old grandson eats soft foods so it would definitely be easier to give to him in a melt form.

Started with 1/2 mL in her nighttime bottle when she was 3 months. My baby absolutely loves these drops, she gets excited every morning when we switched from bottle to dosing directly. I also think this has made her like seafood since she seems to love that as well. It does have a slight fishy smell but I haven’t tasted it so couldn’t tell you what it tastes like, but I can tell you my daughter loves taking these and I feel good giving her purified omega 3/DHA for her brain development since she had some initial food intolerances and I was so concerned about her getting fat and vitamin D. These work great and I plan to give them to her long term.
Stink like fishand serving size is too much

The bottle shows you have to have 5ml to have 300iu of vit d, which 4ml is 5 dropperfuls...it is a lot abd unreasonable for a baby when other vitamin d gives you 400iu with one drop.. also it stinks like fish and the smell is horrible and lasts for days on their clothing and breath. I do not recommend

Hi Cce, You might look at our Baby's Vitamin D3 Liquid product, for the serving size it is 0.25mL and the dosage per serving is 10mcg (400IU), it also contains zero omega-3 oils. This product might fit your babies Vitamin D3 needs better. Please let us know if you have any questions. - Nordic Naturals Customer Service

We are halfway through the bottle and at first all was well. Unfortunately by 7 months old my son spit half of this out and begun to refuse it. Now at 8 months old, he absolutely won’t allow this in his mouth. What’s worse is that now he taste tests everything I try to give him even while eating before he will take a spoonful or more bites. This stuff is gross. It has a very strong fish taste and an after taste (yes, I tried it).

Hi Katie, Thanks for sharing your feedback! We do have an alternate option, the Baby's DHA Vegetarian formula, it is algae based. If you would like to try this formula please contact our customer service department for a bottle free of charge. Customerservice@nordicnaturals.com - Thank you!

Happy to have started our 5 month old baby Geordi on NN's D3/DHA drops for babies. Quick question though: I didn't see the refrigeration instruction on the small label. Our bottle has been open and on the shelf at 75 degrees for 7-8 days. Should it be discarded? It does have a mild fish odor upon smelling the contents of the bottle. Please advise. Thanks!

My 5 month old loves taking this each morning! My Peditrician told us to get Enfamil drops but I knew not to trust that company so I came directly to Nordic naturals. Great ingredients you can trust.

My son doesn't like the flavor of the oil, any recommendations or any product that I can mix it with the liquid?
1 reply from Customer Service team - 3 years ago
Bummer, it should be nearly flavorless, but clearly your son isn't into it. How old is your son? Maybe we can find an alternative that will work.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This has really been a staple in my home especially during this time for my baby. The best part is the natural ingredients non gmo products and the wild artic cod. It doesn't have a bad taste and is easy to take.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These seem to be very easy on his tummy. I like the fact that it is recommended by pediatricians. The ingredient list is short and I don't see any hidden ingredients or things I can't pronounce which is always a plus.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We are big on healthy supplements in our home and Nordic Naturals, baby's DHA is just the right addition for our baby's development. I love that you can add this to pretty much any food you give baby. The DHA does have a slightly fishy taste but its very light. After mixing it in our nine month olds puree, the taste was undetectable and he gobbled it up as usual. I actually prefer the natural taste without any flavors or sweeteners for my son. What an easy and convenient way to give my son all the healthy fats he needs

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Baby DHA is good for brain development. This is the first I heard of this so I decided to try some on my one year old since the instructions allow about 30 or 40 lbs. The solution which I tasted is not sweet and tastes like seaweed. The taste for a young toddler that has teacher their picky stage is not great. The dropper also requires about 3 doses for his age and that a lot when your toddler like to fight you on it. I wish the dosage was smaller and easier to give. Even with a baby this would be hard to give them as well because of how much. One can slip it in. Bottle I guess which more babies would drink. But a toddler normally sips and enjoys food or sips and leaves there for a while and may not finish the drink. It’s definitely a little more challenging in a cup for a toddler to make sure it does not go to waste. So far he drinks it which some challenges but the taste can be improved. I may try a medicine cup instead of a dropped for a toddler since that usually means medicine which some kids don’t like. Overall this is a decent supplement with a large dose.
Happy to have

He is both bf and supplemented so it's good to know hes getting an all natural, non gmo for his growing body is peace of mind for this mama .

Giving a baby 5ml of this is hard. It smells a little fishy and hard to hide the flavor. I’m sure you can get creative and make it work. I trust this line, so trust the product to be great for little guy.

This product made my baby cry like all day. I guess it was gas from the fish oil im not sure but after i stopped she got better. I gave it two stars solely for the fact that i guess it was also supplying her with vitamin D which she needs.
