A: Hello, Using the Nordic Ware Steam Cooker is not recommended for extended cook times with high grease content foods.

This very poor quality microwave steamer is being returned. The first time I used it (as directed), the inner "rack" that the food is placed on became warped. It no longer sits flat. The second time the lid warped. I was able to bend it back into shape. After the 3rd and 4th time I noticed that the inside was losing it's layer of shine. Finally after the 5th time the finish inside showed cracks and is coming off in places. It had been washed by hand only, never in a dishwasher. Others reviewers seem to be happy with theirs, perhaps I got a bad one. Either way, I can't recommend it.

I was looking for a steamer for microwave made with safe plastic and it is exactly what I was looking for. It works well.
