North Complete Creator Streaming Kit

I needed a new light, and saw that this came with a mic too (my built-in laptop mic is pretty bad), so I figured it was worth a shot. The mic sounds IDENTICAL to my built-in laptop mic. Definitely go spend the money on a higher quality mic. But if you don’t have any mic at all, this will do. The light works though, thank goodness! Nice and bright, comes with some attachable color filters. Luckily this was on clearance, so at least I have a backup mic and webcam just in case.

HD Camera The testing of the webcam was disappointing at best. The most egregious demerit pertains to the video quality. While the camera did record in 1080p and what looked like to be 720, the video was very noisy and washed out. I would not use the camera to record anything as most built in cameras in laptops are superior. The only saving graces were that it was easy to install and setup, and the mounting is adequate and held the camera in place well enough. USB Mic The mic is lightweight plastic and feels cheap. However, albeit a little too sensitive and slightly noisy, the mic records very well. It would come in handy as a podcast mic or a passable vocal mic for singing if you don't mind a little background noise. It is able to record some surprisingly adequate vocals and picks up low, middle and upper frequencies well. The LED cycling colors are also a cool and captivating visual. The stand holds the mic well enough but is sorely lacking the ability to extend the mic upward. However, the built-in gain of the mic allows the speaker to be at least a foot away and still record with a very good level. USB Light The light might be the best device in this kit. It provides a nice strong light that is able to switch between pure white and warm white and finally a blend of both. The controls on the USB cord allow some adjustment of brightness although it would be better received if the brightness level was able to be lessened even more than it currently allows. The slide in diffuser is also a nice touch, allowing the content creator to provide a harsh or soft light that a scene might require. The color filters are a nice addition and are worth some experimenting with but ultimately only shade the light slightly. A decent video editing would be able to adjust the tinting much easier and with more control. The stand for the light is very nice and allows minimal adjustment. I actually wish another similar stand had been provided for the mic. Finally, for the price point, I found the kit to be an interesting and usable starter setup for someone wanting to enter into the fun hobby of recording video and audio. However, the appeal of this setup would be bolstered if the HD Camera was eliminated and replaced with a nicer mic stand and pop filter.

Great little set! It has everything you would need for professional zoom calls or getting started with digital content creation. There is a comprehensive microphone with volume and mute options (that glows in rainbow!!!), a selfie light with colored filters, and an HD web cam that is more adjustable than most webcams (meaning: you can tilt it slightly side to side or up and down, which is important if your monitor isn't totally square or you aren't sitting totally square to the monitor). Overall, a nice starter set!

This kit is so much fun! It is extremely well made and was easy to set up and use. We had a great time unboxing and getting up and running. I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly we were able to use it and how well it worked. I like the adjustable features and the microphone just looks cool. This would be the perfect gift for a teen or adult who is starting with social media or content creating.

This is a great kit for to-be creators. The webcam, mic, and streaming light are easy to set-up and use, and work exceptionally well. The quality is sturdy and the output is top-notch. The only minor issue is that you need 3 USB-A ports to be able to use all the gadgets. You may need a USB port extender and an adapter.

I wasn't sure how I was going to feel about this. Even after it arrived and I opened it, I was very skeptical with it. It feels and looks cheap, but it is actually really amazing. There are so many different light settings, plus it comes with red, yellow, green, and blue lights as well. The camera and mic is nice as well. I'm excited to do a lot more work with this set.

This streaming kit is perfect for a beginner streamer. It is best for a young teen who wants to record themselves and have a little fun. It comes with everything you will need. The microphone works well but the screen is a bit tiny. Buy it if it’s for a child!

This complete creator kit is fantastic for a beginning content creator. My son has been dying to get into making YouTube videos so he was really excited to get this! It was Easy to set up and the lighting, mic and camera had great quality.

The NORTH streaming starter bundle is a great starter pack for anybody trying to break into the streaming scene. The kit was sent to me by Hey Bullseye in exchange for my opinion and contains every accessory one would need to begin streaming video and audio right away, including a high-quality directional microphone, an HD webcam, a backlight with tripod, and even different light filters to alter the hue of your video. The sound and audio quality were surprisingly crisp and clear. The equipment was very easy to set up and even easier to start using - simply choose the media inputs you want to use from within the video/audio capture software you're using. The kit components are lightweight yet they feel durable and solid. Also, the kit packs up to be very compact and easily transportable; a small satchel would hold everything very easily, even with the tripod and light still assembled. Overall, this kit is easy to set up and use, made from durable materials, and will record good quality video and audio - perfect for anybody's streaming debut!
