Licensed hair stylist here, and I adore this gel .I don't find it flakes or is heavy at all . Helps maintain frizz and for the price you can't beat it . If your hair feels dry or flakes, maybe try a leave in conditioner spray before you apply the gel (:

I’m pretty new to styling my curls, I was never able to understand what to do to keep it nice all day long. I thought I was doom to look weird after couple of hours. This where MYM comes in! Pretty light and does give a crunchy feel to it. I usually use the cream first and then the gel. I also have other products from their brand and I like them all so far!

i’ve tried this gel with different styling products and conditioners and it consistently fails to provide frizz control or definition. if i use enough product to get definition then it leaves my hair sticky and crunchy. i feel like this entire line of products isn’t made for coarse curly hair. it also smells atrocious.

Bought this traveling because I needed some curl gel but didn’t want to pay an arm in case tsa throws it out. I used A LOT. Probably 4 T on my wavy hair. This has almost no hold and I have my curl technique down to a science. No crunch or anything. Would never use or buy again

This smells like straight alcohol. It was also extremely drying and left my wavy hair feeling like straw - this also did nothing to help tame my frizz. I won’t be using this again, unfortunately.

I love this gel. It has a great consistency and flexible hold without making my hair crunchy or flaky. The only downside is that they don’t stock enough of the 9.7 oz size and it seems to be out of stock quite frequently.
