A: I ordered and just received one of these pads and it seemed VERY thin. I measured and it's only 0.125 (1/8) inch "thick." Will be returning.

A: We suggest using our rug loc padding, felt side down. This will create a buffer between the floor and heat.

Q: Why aren't the pads the standard rug size? For a 5x8 rug, should I buy the smaller size and have part of the rug without a pad, or buy a bigger pad to trim to the exact size? Same question for an 8x10.

It is super nice and very thick but I was so confused as to why the same brand wouldn’t sell the same size as their own rugs. I had to cut to fit, which worked out okay but it didn’t make sense.

My 3 prior pad purchases were Mohawk brand. I have had them on my hardwood floors for more than 6 years now and there is not a single mark of residue or discoloration of my floors. Was not sure the rubber side of this one would hold the rug in place. The felt side seemed like it would be hard to flatten out the numerous creases and was not as soft as expected. Returned for the same brand that was on sale and has proven to be the best quality and value for my personal needs.

Bought this for a 2x8 runner. Yes it is smaller than a 2x8 ft rug but it does the job. My rug does not move around on the tile floor any more. Didn't want to spend a lot because you're not going to see it. Great value!

Super cute rug but saying that it’s washable is a lie. I used it for our toddlers playroom and it got strawberries and soggy crackers and other food stains in it fairly quickly. I washed it one time. It shrank. I don’t feel comfortable washing it again as the size is now totally different than the rug pad which was cut to fit exactly and the shape is off. Very disappointing.

I got this rug pad for under our living room area. I was highly displeased once we moved all our furniture to place this under our rug, only to find that the dimensions are completely off. At least a foot border is missing. I was going to return it, but my husband did not want to go through all the trouble again. Also, returning this huge rug would have been really hard for us. Overall, I would not have paid for this had I known it was a lot smaller.

This item should not be labeled as a "pad". That term does not apply because this item is too thin & hard & stiff to be considered remotely close to being a pad.

I am returning this item that claimed to have 1/4" thick cushioning. It is a sturdy construction and non-skid, however does not provide any cushioning on a hard floor.
