We do not have a seal on the inside (where the product actually comes out), however, there is a tamper seal on the outside (connecting cap to bottle). Not sure why there's so little product in what seems to be a large tube. I thought it would twist up more product. Too little product for the price. Although I liked how the product looked. I wouldn't buy again because you only get what's presented on the tip. Nothing more.

I came here to read the reviews, thinking that I was missing something. I thought, surely there's not just a half inch of product sitting on top of a huge plastic tube, right? But, nope. It really is just a bit of product on top of a big hollow plastic tube. It just amused me that every review that mentions this fact is responded to by telling them that they can sharpen it. "Sure, it's wasteful and deceptive but did you know that you can sharpen it? because you can totally sharpen it!" Oh well. I still love Nyx and will continue to use their products.

I bought 2 shades and am not thrilled that they don’t twist to advance more product. Reviews are mixed on sharpening options so I will have to see. I’m mostly upset that the item I had shipped to me because it was out of stock was sent in a huge box with plastic packs that seems like a huge waste.

All I have to say is this, you sharpen it. I don’t understand the people who are complaining and saying that it’s a ripoff. I guess it’s a generational thing maybe. I’m 58 and we had to sharpen our pencils for a very long time. It will last a long time, but get the sharpener that they recommend and you just have to be gentle.

I love this pencil. It is super soft, glides on beautifully, i have the dark blue and it’s a beautiful color of blue that accentuates my skin tone and eyes, but I don’t see how you can sharpen it. I have a variety of sharpeners and it doesn’t fit in any, and it’s in a plastic casing. It would have to be really unique sharpener to work. Is it going to shave off part of the plastic? Or is it just sharpening the tip? Because there’s really not much colored pencil underneath there. If you have used it quite a few times and you just want to sharpen the tip, you can’t push it up far enough to get it high enough to sharpen the tip. Love the product, but cannot recommend due to the sharpening issue. Maybe you should post a video how to sharpen!?
