Q: Does any of your products have levels of Cadmium in them? I know you adverstise your training utensils as Cadmium free but I don't see that noted for your other products and my daughter uses them all.

Q: Does this cup have enough flex to squeeze it and force a little liquid up the straw? I work with special needs students and need a cup l can squeeze liquid out of in order to teacher them to drink from a straw.
submitted by Amy MVR SLP - 3 years ago
A: Amy, Our cup has flex. However, the lid + straw will pop out if squeezed too much. The primary way to use our straw cup is to suck vs squeeze.

Easy to clean and easy to use. My baby learned how to drink from a straw cup quickly at 6 months with the Olababy. We love the clear design, weighted base, and the soft silicone straw. We were looking for a valveless straw cup and this one ticks all our boxes that we bought another one!

I like to avoid plastic so silicone is great. The straw is skinny so that not too much liquid comes out. And you can squeeze the cup and water will come out which is great for teaching baby how to use a straw.

I like this drinking cup for my little one (9mo) we've had it now for a couple of weeks now. I like that i can see through to see how much water is left and if the straw is reaching far down enough.

I love the Ola Baby Training Cup with Lid and Straw! The soft, flexible straw is gentle on sensitive gums and teeth, making it perfect for transitioning from bottles. The cup’s ergonomic design is easy for tiny hands to hold, encouraging independence during mealtime. The lid fits securely, preventing spills even when the cup is tipped over—a huge plus for busy parents but will spill if dropped. I also appreciate that the materials are BPA-free and safe for my child. Cleaning is a breeze, as the cup comes apart easily. The minimalist design is adorable but and practical. My toddler loves using this cup, and I feel confident knowing it's both functional and safe. Highly recommend it to any parent looking for a reliable training cup!

I love these baby cups as they are easy to clean and therefore appropriate for any liquids, see-through so you can see how much your child has drunk, and I prefer silicone to plastic. They are not completely spill proof so not advisable to be carried around by a child to play areas but excellent for meal time settings.

Works for baby to learn how to use a straw fast. I wish it didn’t spill everywhere when baby knocks it over though.
Great learning tool for straw use.

Great for baby to learn how to use a straw within a few days of use, my baby was using the straw. I like that it’s see through. Only con is that it’s not non-spill so if baby knocks it over there is gonna be water everywhere, not quite as bad as an open cup though.
Love this cup!

This is a great straw cup for learning how to use a straw! If you cover the vent hole on the lid and squeeze, you can help your baby get water up through the straw - we’re making so much more progress on learning how the straw works than with our other straw cups. My only complaint is that it would be easier for my child to use if it had handles.

I bought this cup as it was recommended by a feeding specialist for helping baby learn to drink from a straw. I love how easy it is to cover the air hole and squeeze the liquid up the straw. The silicone is thick and feels good in your hand as well.

Baby is learning how to use a straw and I think this will be a great starter cup for her. Like others mention the is a small whole on the lid so you have to supervise them while they drink so that there’s no mess.

This is without the slow valve, so baby doesn't have to suck too hard. Love the weighted bottom, just not the high price, but other than that great for smoothies.

We had tried another style of straw cup with our 6 month old and he was never able to get the hang of it. Another friend recommended this cup and he mastered it the first day!

Very sturdy cup but also soft because it’s silicone, and it’s great that the straw isn’t too loose where my baby can pull it out easily. Also love that it doesn’t have a spill proof flap in the straw that makes it hard for babies to suck liquids up the straw.
Great for learning how to use a straw!

I loved how this straw didn’t have a weird flap that made my baby suck extra hard! Most training straws are spill proof so they are hard to get liquids out of. It is also super sturdy and hard to tip over, great for babies and toddlers alike!

Pro: my 9 month old was able to quickly learn how to drink from the straw. I like that the cup and straw are opaque, you can see the water being sucked up or if food is stuck in there. There’s only three pieces and it’s easy to clean by hand. Con: expensive
