Same as others stated. I went to the store in March 2025 and bought 2 packs of our usual taco seasoning. Dumped it on the meat and instead of the typical orange color and typical scent it was white/grey’ish and didn’t smell or taste the same. Did the recipe change or was it a bad batch?

I love that this is gluten-free because my sister is allergic to gluten and it helps that something that taste good is also gluten-free.

It wasn’t too spicy for my palate and the price was spot on. Love that the envelope doesn’t take up much space and can be used on so many different foods.

Opened a pack a had bought a while ago with April 2025 expiration dates. Put it on the beef. It was white and had no spices. Smelled bad and tasted bad. Had to throw out beef. Then used another packet and more beef and the same issue. I expect compensation for the beef you guys ruined and for the packets. And the fact that I’ve read that 8 other people have had this issue and you didn’t put out a recall? I expect money compensation. Not free product as I will not be using your brand any more.

Wow! Old El Paso Mild Taco Seasoning used to be our favorite. I do not know what has been done to the original recipe but this was terrible. It was white, smelled off and tasted terrible. We dumped the tacos and ordered take-out. With the cost of groceries and the bad taste in our mouths this was not a happy family.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried the Old El Paso Mild Taco Seasoning on our @home taco Tuesday. I normally use the more popular competitor’s brand . Surprisingly, even the kids noticed the difference. They said it just tastes different. Good, but different.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My favorite brand. Mild is for me, as I cannot eat spicy foods at all. I love the flavor without any spiciness. I use this for tacos & shepherds pie. I use the seasoning on the ground beef in shepherds pie, and it is incredible and not bland & not spicy. Just extremely tasty, like regular shepherds pie with plain unseasoned hamburger. Great product, many uses.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Unmistakable in its bright yellow one ounce package, this seasoning has been our family's choice for as long as I can remember. The mild version is the preferred type as some of our family can't handle much spice (not heat but spice). The flavors are balanced and just what you would expect for the base of a delicious american style taco, but the fun doesn't end there. I have used this seasoning for soup, salsa, bean dip, ground meat, and even mushroom walnut vegan ground meat substitute. Pictured is this seasoning that I mixed with pureed roasted tomato and onions for a taco Flavored sauce that we enjoy with chips. I've been using this brand so long that I never look at the back label, I did this time and noticed that it now contains "Bioengineered food ingredients" so be informed if that is a concern for you.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.]  one of the best taco seasonings that I have ever had packaging is a little pack inconvenient this was $.89 worth price. I love that. It has salt, pepper, chili, onion powder, and sugar. It’s great taste definitely will buy it then.

The price is also not bad for ready to mix seasoning. The ingredients could use some improvements to make it "healthier". Would also be greatly appreciated to not use bioengineered ingredients.

The only drawback I noticed was the bioengineered ingredients, but this is stated clearly on the label. Adds the right amount of seasoning for a tasty main or side dish.

This seasoning packet truly is mild, you can taste a hint of pepper but there is no true kick to it. My daughter was able to eat her tacos with this seasoning mixed into her meat with no problems. The packaging is easy to rip open and add to a pot. I would definitely buy again.
