The directions are terrible. Trying to figure out the origami is a joke and instead of helping my child with his anger, just annoyed him. The rubber bands that came with the catapult were dried up broken pieces, fortunately I had some on hand. I also thought that the projects could be repeated, but they seem to be a more time and done sort of thing. I just expected more.
Overpriced and lower quality than expected

The philosophy and project ideas are good ideas for the age ranges that are stated on the box. But the quality of the product, especially the catapult is subpar. The fine motor skills of a typically developing 4-7-year-old are not in line with the fine motor skills needed for the origami or catapult projects, without complete parental participation. The catapult rubber bands that came with it were so brittle they crumbled apart before we could even get them onto the catapult. My child was so disappointed and it was a huge letdown overall.
A good way to reset

This whole kit not only teaches kids how to manage their emotions and self-calm themselves, but it also teaches caregivers the best times and ways to get kids to learn the skills.

This box has some really great lessons on self-control and learning to read your body and understand your feelings. But besides all that, it's just plain FUN. It has origami, a catapult, sculpting...it's a whole craft kit in one!
Love the bad mood buster

After doing this with my granddaughter she took the whole box and the projects home to show her parents, except the bad mood buster, which we kept here. When she stays at my house she gets a bit homesick which leads to bouts of grumpiness. This little notepad has been great to help her recognize her bad mood and what might be causing it, which helps her cheer up a lot faster

My kids LOVE the movie inside out and so they are always talking and asking about the emotions. I saw these boxes and knew the kids would love it! They were able to learn a bunch about anger (enough to hopefully pause the questions for a bit!) and they've turned the box into a bedroom for the anger monster they made with the kit!

I really like that this kit has everything you need to do it inside, no running around trying to find glue, scissors, or batteries. The activities are well thought out, and we learned a lot.

I've tried calming techniques with my kids before, but they never seemed to work until we got this kit. I think having physical and visual reminders of what to do is a huge help. Instead of having to listen to me when I tell them to take deep breaths (which they don't want to do because I'm usually the one they are mad at), they can guide themselves through the calming tools & breaths. Overall, there's been a huge improvement

Each activity in this box is one step towards understanding and managing anger, which makes it a great teaching tool without being too overwhelming. Definitely plan to take this out more than once. It took us 4 seperate days to get through all the activities, but honestly that was even better for helping the lessons stick. Some activities my kids liked more than others, but they were overall really fantastic and I could totally see a difference in the ways my kids were acting.
Can't wait to try it

I got this box since the family loved the gratitude box. We have been busy the past few weekends but i took a sneak peak at the activities and I know the kids are going to love it and learn a bit more about their feelings and self control in the process1
Good to do together.

These activities are great and they come with a ton of information and things to talk about. That being said, it is not really suited to be an independent activity. I think if it was given to a kid alone, they would just do all the crafts without reading or considering the lesson or purpose behind them. It's the kind of toy that you will get out of it whatever you put into it. If you are willing to sit and do this activity with your child, it's an incredible learning experience and bonding opportunity. If you plan on giving it to a kid and sending them off to play, go for the legos.
