OtterBox Apple iPhone 16 Pro Max Defender Pro Series Case with MagSafe - Black

Love the Otterbox! Totally confident that when I drop my phone, it’s protected!

This phone case offers excellent protection against falls.

This is my fourth Otterbox case and I'm disappointed at the large gap opening/exposure for the new camera button on the right side. Sure, I'm a little concerned about that Achille's heel for damage, but I also don't like the giant opening and lack of trim on top when you pick up the phone or use it in your hand. I realize the designers had to leave an opening for the new tactile camera button, but it just seems like the case should have had a rail on both sides (top and back) for your fingers to utilize. The giant opening only leaves a slippery case, not a tactile surface.

Case looks nice, fits perfectly, and feels sturdy. As expected from Otterbox, well made case.

Phone case. I have rheumatoid arthritis and I drop things all the time. Before my otter box I had to use my phone insurance one or twice a year. My last phone contract I only used it once in 4 years.(not related to dropping) Very very worth the money. The box is not much bigger than the slim version. I get the defender. It is the most protective. My husband has started to use also.

This is a great product and provides excellent protection against drops and other potential perils. The downside is that it is thicker than other cases due to its double layer of back, one inside against the phone between it and the outer case and the outer case itself. This can present some problems with different magsafe charging units. It works very well with my desktop multi charger for iWatch, Air Pods Pro 2, and iPhone 16 Pro Max. No problem using a cable to charge in a pinch. The main reason for my low rating has to do with the fact that no matter what positioning I tried it would NOT work with the Q charging pad in my 2024 Rav4 Prime. This is a non-starter for me. If it doesn't work with my second most frequently used charging source then it defeats the purpose if I have to use a cumbersome charging cable in my vehicle. I reluctantly gave up on using this as my preferred protective case. Searched elsewhere and did find another case that easily worked with all of my charging solutions. Unfortunately the "replacement" case does not provide the level of protection of Otterbox. I made the decision to live with a bit less though very good protection offered by another case because of the charging compatibility issue with my Rav4 Prime.

Great case that is durable and well lasting would recommend.

I just upgraded to the IPhone 16 Pro Max. I have always had iPhones and always had Otterbox Defenders on them. I have never broken a phone while it was in the Otterbox and I work outdoors and they get dropped a lot. Having said that, I have to say that I feel that the new style Defender case for the 16 Pro Max isn’t as good as my previous phones case design. It does not have a screen protector built in so I had to order those separately and it is more difficult to clip into the belt clip which can cause more dropping. It is still the best phone case around in my opinion. I also didn’t know you got a free clip coupon in the phone case box so had already purchased a clip for it.

Cool but the gap of the phone is inconvenient it causes my phone screen to crack so easily. If they cover the side button I’d be better

THis is the perfect case for the iPhone 16 Pro Max. It is thick and textured, which makes it easy to grab and hold onto. It is also specifically designed for the new features of the iPhone 16, so previous cases will not work. Although I don't use the wireless charging systems, this case is designed to work perfectly with those systems as well. There is extra protection around photo lenses and around the corners, so your phone is safe and sound in this case. I would also recommend you get a screen protector for your phone. I can't tell you how many times my screen has been saved by one!

After receiving and install, I got this bubble below the camera that I can't get smoothed out. I have tried everything. Disappointed in the quality of the case.
