OtterBox DEFENDER SERIES Google Pixel 6 Pro - Black

Best case for Pixel 6 Pro. Should have gotten this first instead of cheap ones.

This is a beautifully designed case that is very sturdy and immensely protective. I love the way it fits so tightly around my cell phone. It is truly perfect and looks great!

This new same replacement of my old phone case after 2 years and ( after cleaning my phone and deleting old stuff off my phone ) revived my Pixel Pro 6 phone protection once again after 2 years of ownership. I will say that it was put through some rough Jeep'in and rugged outdoor dropping and use. Great durable product and yes, I would buy it again and again. AAAAA+++++

It's a wonderful case, don't get me wrong. As someone who drops their phone more times than can count, it's a good quality case. However, one major issue is the charging port that flips and allows your charger to plug into your phone breaks off after about 6-7 months. Keep in mind I don't aimlessly fidget with it or do anything to encourage breakage. It's a flimsy part of an otherwise good quality case.

I'm reviewing this on my Pixel 6 after having an this phone protector for 1 year and 4 months. My Pixel just died (not from physical damage) and I wanted to share my experience. First off - this case WORKS. I've dropped, kicked, stepped on and generally abused this phone and it only has ONE crack from when I dropped it when I opened the box :( The worst fall was when my bicycle phone clip broke and my Pixel went flying onto the road and it was totally fine! My 3 star review comes from the rubber part of the case. The USB-C protector cover had snapped off after about 4 months of use, and after about a year both volume covers had cracked off and would float under the rubber shell, and currently the power button cover had mostly come off. I actually had to take the rubber cover off when I wasn't using headphones otherwise I couldn't control the volume. I think this comes from how bulky the case is and how you kinda have to force it in & out of pockets. I'm not sure how to balance out the amazing protection with the convenience factor but constantly putting the shell on & off got old pretty quickly. Overall: I'd recommend the case if you, like me, are a destructive and clumsy person just keep in mind the case may need to be replaced after about a year.

This case not only protects my Pixel 6 Pro, but it also makes the phone easier to use. The screen goes right to the edge of the phone. Without the case, it is hard to hold the phone without touching the screen, which causes unwanted things to happen.

I have been using OtterBox for years. I have had drops from the top of my truck, bleachers at football games... and never an issue. The new case for my Pixel 6Pro is not like the"old" OtterBox cases. The plastic "frame" fits well (as always) but the outer protective sleeve doesn't fit the corners or around the camera lense well. It's loose and sloppy, almost like it's melted or stretched. I also very much dislike the lack of front cover. I understand this is due to the curved screen and or "consumer demand" but the front cover was why I used OtterBox. Now it's the same as any other cheap brand. Cutting corners never goes well. Since it's cheaper to buy a new cover than phone, looks like I'll be shopping for a new brand of case.

I've never owned an OtterBox before, but after I purchased my first phone with a curved edge, I went through two cheap cases rather quickly due to cracking the screen rather easily, even with minor drops. I've had the OtterBox case for a while now, and I've experienced some pretty nasty drops, bumps, and bangs. The screen is still intact, and I'm not even using a screen protector anymore. I will never own another phone case that is not an OtterBox.

The case is fair, the belt clip is absolute BS. It releases and drops the phone from the slightest touch. You can put the screen in or out, but the USB port orientation has to be paid attention to because it only goes in one way

Dropped my phone one time and it shattered. Maybe it's the curved glass but this case did nothing.

I don't trust any other phone case and holder for my Google Pixel. Time and time again over the last 10 years it has proven itself. My friends are having to replace their phones because an unrecoverable drop their lesser case did not protect them from.

I've used Otter cases for years and have always loved them. This one is no exception. I've dropped my phone a few times and it's always been safe with this case. My only complaint is that they didn't have any "fun" colors for my Pixel 6 Pro! I chose the blue/gray but would have loved a purple or something along those lines.

I've used Otterbox Defender cases on numerous phones. Not just mine, but others in the family. I dropped my phone from about waist level as it slipped out my had while picking something up off a table. This was the first time I ever had a screen break from a drop at this height with a Defender case. I dropped my Galaxy and Pixel 3 with a Defender case from higher heights and numerous times without issue over the past 5 years. Disappointed in the protection provided from this case. Will be looking into a different brand for my Pixel.

I've had otter box case for all of my phones, but something about this specific case does not work. I have had to replace my screen twice because of short drops. I don't expect it to be bulletproof, but I would hop it could survive a less than three foot drop from my pocket

My screen shattered from a 2 foot drop from my couch. I bought this case because I wanted to keep my phone I wanted to make an investment. I had screen protectors for it and everything. I am shocked. If I had dropped this from when I'm standing up it would be one thing. But I was laying on the couch. It fell on hard wood floor, not even concrete. I am very upset.

Face up, it keeps the camera bar safe. Face down it keeps the screen safe. It's plenty grippy. Buttons feel nice and responsive. It's got a solid USB cover. Its an excellent case, idk what else to say. I see a good amount of criticisms about this case, claiming it's some sort of step down from it's predecessors... the phone has bevels, I don't think a better case exists. I bought the Whitestone Dome screen protector (Sorry OtterBox) and they work perfectly together.

Overall it protects it very well, but there are a lot of downsides. It makes the phone very wide and thick. Nearly blocks qi charging.

I like the color and like all Otterbox cases, it is VERY sturdy and fits my Pixel 6 Pro very well. However there some unseen challenges. First - the Pixel 6 Pro curves on the edges of the screen which cannot be reached easily with the case on (to be fair most apps do not use that space, but the apps I use do) . Second - the case is capable of supporting wireless charging, but I don't use it. Wireless charging is too slow - almost to the point of worry (slow charge can indicate a number of possible problems, especially on brand new phones). And with it being Otterbox, removing the phone just to wirelessly charge isn't worth the effort. This is a very good case, but it does sacrifice convenience for protection so balance your priorities accordingly.

Have had the Defender series for most of the phones I have owned. I usually start of with something lower priced because the Defender is a little overpriced. I always end up giving in and ordering the OtterBox. The Defender is just more grippy and offers the most protection. One of the other reasons for buying it is the belt holster that almost no one else offers. This one is for the Pixel 6 pro and fits great.
