Our Generation 18-inch doll Esperanza embraces the beautiful traditions of Día de los Muertos and encourages kids to learn about cultural identity in a fun and engaging way. Known as Day of the Dead, this holiday originated in Mexico and honors loved ones through music, food, and rituals. Esperanza pays tribute to her Mexican heritage with striking yet playful “calavera” (skull) face paint inspired by La Catrina – an iconic symbol in Mexican culture that reminds us how Día de los Muertos is a time to honor family, life, and happy memories. Plus, her vibrant flower crown and Tehuana-inspired dress are adorned with signature flowers like “cempasuchil” (marigolds) and “clavel” (carnations). These flowers are also used to decorate altars in homes called ofrendas, which provide a sense of connection to past generations, while the Tehuana dresses (worn by the women in Oaxaca, Mexico) display strength, beauty, and cultural pride. Esperanza has a huggable soft body, pierced ears with removable hoop earrings, wavy brown hair, and lifelike dark-brown eyes that open and close. She comes in special edition packaging with illustrations of sugar skulls and florals seen throughout the festivities. I don’t see it lasting a year but by then she will have found a new favorite toy. The clothes are very bright with lots of detail. Not a lot of small parts. Might look scary to some kids

Absolutely beautiful doll! I was able to purchase her and very happy with all the detail work. The doll herself is beautifully made up with her face painting and costuming. This doll is a reflection of the celebration for the Day of the Dead that is known amongst Mexican cultures. This doll’s face is beautifully painted and her clothes and headdress are vibrantly colorful. She is made very well and will last your child a liftetime if taken care of. This brand of dolls are typically priced very reasonably.

It's the perfect time as it's halloween / and dia de los muertos as well, so this doll fits in perfectly for us. The details on it are gorgeous. From the face, paint to the outfit to even little detailed lace on the dress itself.It's a hundred percent accurate with the dress. My kids couldn't wait to take it out of the box and present it as well. You define, must have.It's honestly so much prettier in person.

Very well made with perfect details, the hair, the facial drawing, the dress....every details are so perfect. The head, arms and legs were made from thick plastic and the body was made from fabric which made is very durable and lightweight at the same time, the most I like is it's and shattered proof, not like other dolls are made from ceramic need lots of care. My kid loveeeees it, she caries it around the house. It's also great for Halloween decoration. Perfect piece for my dolls collection.

Esperanza may look creepy, but in reality, every detail of the doll is a work of art: the makeup, the flowers in the hair as a symbol of the holiday, the traditional embroidery, and the old-fashioned pantalones. It undoubtedly enhances the interior of my home, especially with the Day of the Dead approaching!
