Q: Will this cup fit in a car cup holder?

A: It fits in my car and my daughter's car. Great water bottle! We own at least a dozen in different sizes!
submitted bypeaches - 3 years agoA: No. The Owala FreeSip 24oz does not fit in any cup holder, including the doors in my SUV. For reference, the 3.0"W x 10.2"H Yeti Rambler fits in all my cupholders, but not my doors.

Q: Can I not remove and not use the straw while drinking water from the bottle? I just don't like straws.

A: You can but the bottle becomes akward to use because water comes out where straw is. Leave the straw in, and just don't use it; you can still gulp water while straw is in place.

Q: I am interested in getting this for my kids to use at school - if the cap is flipped up, and it tips over, will it spill? I am confused about the top sip vs straw option.

A: That's a great question! The Owala Free Sip Bottle is leak proof when snapped closed. When open, you will have access to the integrated straw option for sipping or the chugging option. If closed, the bottle will not leak when tipped. It will spill if the flip cap is up and tips over. Q: Does this bottle have a warranty? I have had it for four months and the button popped off. I was able to put it back on but it keeps flying off.

I loved these Owalla free sip bottles and I bought 5 of them. Unfortunately the lids are poor quality and have Poor durability! Lid broke within a few months of gentle use and handwashing only. The spring popped off on two of the lids so it no longer closes, and the handle snapped off another. I wish they made them more durable because I love the design!

Had to exchange the 24oz bottle I purchased for my mom because the flat sides did not line up with the mouth of the lid. Probably best to pick up this item in the store so you can confirm the sides line up. Doesn't apply to the 32oz bottle I purchased for myself since, oddly as they are slightly heavier when full, don't have the 2 flat sides. Other than that, love the option of sipping or chugging with this lid.

It claims to be spill proof but my bottle is sealed shut and once it was tipped over, half of the water spilled. I wanted to love it because I heard so many great things about it.

I bought this because I work at a call center and between calls, opening a lid can be cumbersome and I'm trying to up my water intake. It works perfect for this and the water stays cold all day and even until the next day if I forget to drink it all. I also brought it on a trip to Disneyland and while it didn't keep ice completely frozen like my hydroflask does, the water was still very cold and refreshing throughout the day and there were still some melted ice cubes in there. Overall, it was way easier to stay hydrated and not worry about touching the mouth/lid part. My partner also loved using it, and we are going to get another one for him to use at work as a mail carrier.

I purchased my first Owala 6 months ago and loved it so I wanted another one to bring to work. I purchased the all black one and what I received in the mail was different than the picture. The top was a white and grey color but the cup was black. So just beware you may not get the exact description of what you purchase. Other than that I love the bottle itself.

We bought this on April 21, 2024 and it had broken by May 17,2024. The button that has the spring breaks off easily. This is not durable … just spend the extra money and buy the Yeti or the Stanley

I bought two of these for my daughter and the button that keeps the lid closed and you also use to open to drink popped off on both of them. The first one was about 2 months in, purchased the second one and literally a week later was broken too. Done buying until they fix this issue.

I have used this water bottle maybe once or twice a week for the past month and it is falling apart (even though I have only been handwashing it). I would not recommend ... I loved it at first, but not worth it for only one month of use.

I bought my first Owala and was really excited by the bottle design. I had been searching for something with a straw that is completely covered, and this fit the bill. I used it for about 2 weeks when the button randomly popped off. I was on an airplane at the time, so I assumed the pressure damaged it or maybe I had bumped it without realizing. I bought a new Owala. On the 2nd day of owning it, the button popped off and can't be put back on. This bottle HAS to be able to close or the water will spill everwhere. I'm really frustrated that these are breaking. Not only am I wasting money, but the whole point of a reusable bottle is to be eco friendly. This product is a HUGE fail.

I loved this water bottle for the less than 24 hours I used it before the closing mechanism sprung off and will not attach again. It’s basically unusable now. Extremely disappointed, and it looks like I’m not the only person this has happened to. I’d say skip this until the company decides to design something that stays together.

I just got this water bottle today and I really like it. It's really nice and it also keeps water cold for up to 24 hours which is a really long time I've been enjoying drinking out of it . I have a drunken a lot of more water than I usually do and I got this earlier today. I really recommend this if ur looking for a cute portable water bottle for any ages.
