Q: How do you get the lid off? It is very hard to do

A: It’s a screw on top so should be easy to get off.

Q: Would this work with Ranch? My dressing doesn't come with a spout and I don't want Ranch soup.

A: No, this is only suitable for thin sauces or oils such as soy sauce, vinegar, olive oil, sesame oil, etc. Check out the salad dressing shaker or chef squeeze bottles for dressing.

As other reviewers mentioned, when you go to refill the lid is not possible to remove. Threw away after only 3 months of frequent use, seeing lid was so stuck I feared the glass would shatter trying to remove it.

I am a little disappointed with this product. It’s very good looking, minimal style which I like. However, it’s not drip free. I could archive same or even better result with no name brand, but I pick this one as i always like OXO product quality. If you do slow drizzle, it would drips on the tip of the metal spout, very little but if not wipe off, it would accumulate and drip down the bottle. If you pour more, a lot of time the oil would come out from the air hole on top of the cap. so, pros : nice looking, good size Cons: still drips, hard to open for refill, over price Can be improved: spout cap, if manufacture would include a small silicon or plastic cap for the spout, it would be better

As many other users have complained - the cap cannot be opened after some time of use. It doesn’t leak in the beginning. But in a year or so it starts to leak and the oil residue becomes so sticky and hard to clean.

It’s a great dispenser my only complaint is that the lid is very hard to remove when I need to refill it. I see that other people are having the same issue. Hopefully they fix this defect in newer ones.

I am very happy with this perchase, it was exactly what I was looking for. The bottle is nicely designed, does not drip, so no messy lid.
OXO oil dispenser is great at first but plastic screw cap will inevitably fuse permanently to the glass bottle and become impossible to remove, making the dispenser completely useless.

Dispenser was nice at first, felt high quality but after only 2 months of ownership and minimal use, like others, the screw top has permanently fused to the glass bottle (likely from oil itself) and is impossible to loosen by any non-destructive means. Item is completely useless now and there is no solution for it. I see dozens of this same complaint on various stores sites like here.

I liked it at first. I wouldn't say it's drip free but it drips far less than other options I've used. However I would never recommend this to anyone because it is impossible to open. I managed to do it after much effort for the first refill but now that I'm due to refill it again I can't for the life of me get it open

I wanted to love this, but when I went to go refill it the lid was impossible to get off. I tired everything. Had to throw it out because I couldn’t get the lid off to refill it. Too expensive to just be tossing and replacing, defeats the purpose.

I’m in love with this dispenser! It’s easy to clean and fits nicely into my cabinet (others are too tall). If you tilt it just a little you can do a nice drizzle and tilt it more to get a bigger volume out. It’s great!

Beautiful and all but lid gets stuck. I was able to get it off twice after almost breaking my hands(I’m strong too) and I even used stuff to try to get it open. Nope. Been months now. Garbage. Impossible to open even your strong husband won’t be able to do it 🤭

Loved it when we first bought it (even bought a second) but we can not get the kids off of them 😩😭 Threw one away and now we can’t get the second lid off too so I’m assuming we will be doing the same thing as what we did with the first.
