Smells great & works wonders on my 4 year olds curly hair!

I've used this shampoo for years and always enjoyed the way it left my hair feeling hydrated and bouncy, so always a reliable go to for me

Purchased for my daughters. So far she likes it and defines her curls.

So here’s the pros: it will completely strip your hair, may be good once a month or less to remove any product buildup. I also happen to like the smell. That’s where the pros end. I have used cheap shampoo for years (we’re talking $3 Garnier) and I’ve used a number of products with “hair loss” lawsuits with absolutely no problems. I wash my hair every 3-5 days, so not too frequently. That being said, literal chunks of my hair came out every wash and for days after. My hair was constantly tangled immediately after washing. I used this product over 2 months to give it a fair try. I chalked it up to stress at first, but I finally went back to my $3 Garnier and within 3 days the chunks stopped coming out. It is most definitely the pineapple curls product. Stay so far away from using this consistently. Maybe once in a while if that.

I like the shampoo but the bottle design is bad. The edges of the part where you open it cut my finger! Please fix this feature of your bottles.

Not a good shampoo for curls. At all. You don’t want something that strips your oils and makes it dry and frizzy. That’s completely opposite of what you want lol

I switched to this shampoo several years ago after Pacifica discontinued their Vegan Silk line. It was one of the few shampoos that didn't have Sodium C14-16 Olefin Sulfonate, a common ingredient that I unfortunately find too stripping to be in my usual shampoo. I do still prefer Vegan Silk in both scent and bottle design (please bring it back!!), but Pineapple Curls works just as well if not better as an actual shampoo. The scent of this shampoo is pleasant but mild; it fades almost immediately after rinsing. (I like this aspect, but those who prefer more fragranced shampoos might be disappointed.) It lathers quickly (more than Vegan Silk did, for comparison), but it's still gentle enough to use once a week on my semi-permanent dyed hair. Because of that, however, it does result in some build-up over time that I need to use a stronger clarifying shampoo to remove. I'm not sure how well this shampoo fulfills its intended purpose as a curl defining shampoo, either. I have slightly wavy (2a-2b ish on a good day and 1c on a bad day) hair and do follow wavy/curly methods to enhance my texture. I haven't noticed a significant difference in my hair's texture using this shampoo over any other. Overall, it's a lovely gentle shampoo. Until Pacifica brings back Vegan Silk or introduces another gentle haircare line, I will be sticking with Pineapple Curls!

My 12 yr old is on chemo she has red curly hair which has been effected by treatment, so I wanted a clean shampoo that would be gentle on her hair and help with her curls so far I am loving this product and she loves the scent

I love this shampoo every Spring and I purchase this shampoo it smells good it works great For my hair it’s just enough lather that it doesn’t strip your natural oils in your hair

I tried this bc I was worried Native was weighing my hair down. Bought both shampoo & conditioner. Quite drying, made my hair frizzy, and didn’t hold curls the way Native does. It’s also expensive for what it is and I wish their shampoo & conditioner was the same size. Native is better & more cost effective. I use Pacifica’s rosemary serum sometimes to help with any build up

Feels and smells amazing! Leaves my hair nice and hydrated without greasy build up.

Smells good and I like the rest of the products in the line but i have to stop using them now because it’s giving me dandruff and I did not have any before switching to pineapple curls.

Bought this because I like the conditioner but I'm really not sure how I feel about the shampoo. It does make my hair look very shiny and my curls are more hydrated but I hate the way it makes my hair feel once it's rinsed. It makes my hair feel waxy and dry and it only goes away if I use the conditioner.

I love Pacifica products and this is a keeper! It’s been a while since I’ve been able to get my hair to curl and wave all the way up to the root but it finally has. Thank you again Pacifica for another product that helps and smells good.

I have type 4a low porosity coily hair and wanted to really love this product because it smelled so good and the packaging was adorable. But after shampooing my hair, my hair became matted and tanged and felt so dry and brittle. I washed twice and that was a big mistake. Won’t be buying this again. My curls were not defined and just became a ball of frizz.

Super drying and really poor slip. Used twice and can’t again! Have fine low density 3a/3b hair

With my type 2b wavy/curly hair, I don’t shampoo too often. But, when I do, this is the only shampoo I use. I appreciate that this is a clean, earth-friendly brand.

Ever since starting this product, my hair falls out excessively. I thought perhaps it was hormones, but after reading more reviews I agree that this product leaves hair brittle, dry and causes excessive loss despite my washing every two-3 days.
