"Alder does a great job covering all the Paleo bases in this book. It's great to hear about an author who is actually doing the plan, has lost 40 pounds and has maintained it for the past 4 years. Too often you hear of people trying the "latest and greatest diet' only to gain the weight back due to not being able to maintain the lifestyle.
James goes over the pieces of the diet that are important on protein, fat and carbohydrate intake. He also talks about the glycemic index which I don't think most people realize is very important for your blood sugar and keeping it maintained.
I recently quit coffee (9 months) and I did it because it's acid in your body (I am following an Alkaline diet plan). I never knew it could have been the reason why I couldn't lose weight!
