Q: How can the nutritional value be the same when many times the it is more soupier or the ingredients are not always the same amounts?? Sometimes it's little chicken more or less noodles or lot soupier?
A: The nutritional values are calculated from the recipe/formula according to FDA labeling and nutritional value standards. The specific values are derived from each ingredient and their respective percent composition of the overall recipe. In practice, all food processing will have an acceptable/allowable minimum and maximum tolerance to either side of the standard. This means there is an allowable amount of variation...an ingredient or ingredients might have a bit more or a bit less. This is where Quality Assurance plays an important role in monitoring the production by sample testing throughout the production of each batch. A batch would be considered non-saleable when the sample testing shows the product variation is beyond the minimum or maximum tolerances. Q: Can this be frozen?
A: Hi Elizabeth, We recommend you enjoy your soup right away and do not freeze the product for best results. If you would like to freeze the product, place the original, unopened container of soup in your freezer before the use by date printed on the bottom of the cup. The soup may be frozen up to 9 months from the date you placed it in the freezer. When you are ready to eat the frozen soup simply remove the container from the freezer and thaw in the refrigerator. Do not thaw the frozen soup unrefrigerated by leaving it on the counter. Once thawed, follow the heating instructions on the container. The thawed, unopened soup should be consumed within 3 days of thawing.
