A: Please, don't let the fact that these pens are retractable keep you from buying them. These Ink Joy are the very best pens I purchased in the past two years. I have other Ink Joy pens..but these..are the best. Also, you might want to give Paper-Mate's Flair pens, a great complement to these Ink Joy pens.

Disappointed!
Such a bummer. I LOVE these pens but this is the third pack that has stopped working or dried out before the ink inside is even halfway used. Foolish me for taking three purchases to finally decide not to keep buying them. When they work, they are my favorite pens but I can’t justify continuing to throw away perfectly good pens that stop writing. I’ve tried all the tricks I know to get the ink flowing again to no avail.

Do not buy
Brand new, after writing the ink doesn’t flow. You would think the ink ran out but it’s completely full. There are better pens out there don’t spend your money on these!!

They dont work
Half of them didn’t work. They were full of ink and the protective cover was off, they’d write for two sentences and then fade to almost nothing.

They’re inconsistent, yes I have ink, yes it’s full, why isn’t it coming out. I have to write a bunch of notes, I drawing with these for my notes as while.

I use this exact brand at work, daily. Saying that, these have been a very regrettable purchase. NONE of these pens write fluidly. NONE. Very disappointed since I wanted bright colored ink for darker sticky notes. Unsure why these are so poorly made considering I use others, purchased elsewhere, that work easily and smoothly. I cannot recommend this pack of pens to anyone. They should be taken OFF the rack.

Super cute and handy
I love colored pens; I use them every day. Paper Mate is my favorite brand when it comes to gel pens. These hardly ever smudge, and that is important to me, being left-handed. When you first receive them, it may take a few attempts to get the ink flowing, but after a few uses, it becomes easier. Recommend!

These were my favorite until they weren't. I loved them for work, but they feel so inconsistent with ink flow and writing saturation. Sometimes I can go whole shifts at work without problems, but sometimes they can't even last a whole 30 minutes before acting up and being trashed.

Purple and blue are great, yellow isn’t.

Inky joy gel pens
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had high expectations for the Paper Mate InkJoy Gel Pens, but they didn’t feel as smooth as I expected from a gel pen. While the ink is vibrant and dries quickly—great for preventing smudging—the writing experience wasn’t as soft or effortless as other gel pens I’ve used. The ink flow feels a bit inconsistent at times, making it less fluid than I hoped. On the plus side, the pens have a comfortable grip, making them easy to hold for extended writing sessions. However, if you’re looking for an ultra-smooth, buttery gel pen, this might not be the best choice. It’s decent for everyday use but doesn’t quite deliver the silky glide I was expecting.

They dry quickly!!

I like that I didn’t have to struggle with the packaging and the packaging came with instructions on moving the wax ball so there’d be no confusion for those that aren’t aware.

Smooth pens

I like the texture of the outside of the pens, it feels like butter slime, & has a good grip. The ink writes so smoothly! I would definitely buy these pens, they are worth it!!
