The headcollar loops around your dog’s nose, so when he pulls, it gently moves his head toward you so he can refocus his attention on you and away from other distractions. This is a game changer. My 7 month old 60 lb puppy was pulling on a harness as well as a prong collar. Walks were not fun. I’ve taken him on 2 walks now and this thing is legit. Keeps him from pulling, doesn’t restrict him at all. I used treats to get him to get his snout through. Highly highly recommend.

If your dog is like ours that refuses to walj or gets distracted by everything, tgen you need this! Our dog would drag herself or be pulling on the leash and misbehaving so badly until we bought this head collar. She's a totally different dog when she has it on and she doesn't mind wearing it. The only thing I would like is if it were a bit thicker.

I can admit when I'm wrong. I was wrong. We have an anatolian shepherd that pulls like crazy and is so strong. Walking her was not a pleasant experience. We tried a nightingale collar and a prong collar and neither worked. My husband wanted to try this, and I truly didn't think it would work. IT TOTALLY WORKS! To be fair, our dog doesn't really like it, but she tolerates it, and our walks are truly night and day from before. You have to work into it slowly to get them used to it, but it really worked wonders for us!

Great headcollar to keep dogs from pulling on their leashes. Was recommended by our vet years ago and finally needed to replace after over a decade of use. Our dog is a 65 pound cattle dog/shepherd mix and the Medium works great for him. Highly recommend if you have a dog that pulls.

The new padding this product is a great improvement. It's not very noticeable and doesn't look bad. However, it could use even more padding to prevent marks my dog's snout.

Not suitable for short-snouted dogs

Not good product. Didn't work as promised. Maybe okay for some dogs, but not for my Boston Terrier with short snout. Won't buy again without checking first.

Five Month Old Puppy Walked Like a New Dog!

Bought this for our 5 month old pup because she pulled on the leash a lot and ate MANY random things on our walks. After putting this on she was like a new dog. She was able to walk next to me, did not try and eat as many things, and was easier to control if she did get into something she was not supposed to. It was tricky to get on her as a teething puppy but as she got used to it, it became the best thing ever!

This simple collar changed our walk from a noisy struggle of pulling and barking at anyone we crossed on our walk to a gentle correction resulting in a pleasant experience for all involved, including our 20 week-old Entlebucher puppy. She is a very happy, curious, rambunctious and strong dog, but the pulling on the leash was becoming more than I could handle. The vet recommended Gentle Leader Headcollar and it was light after dark. Walking with the dogs became a breeze.

Even though this looks a bit like a restraint, it is clear that my dog is comfortable. She can eat, lick, bark. She puts her nose out to get her collar put on. Be patient the first few times as your dog gets used to having the leash go over its nose.
