I have always used their blue Crystal litter with two cats and I found it the best for holding in moisture and containing the smell. I often get two weeks to three from their own branded litter. The pandemic caused a shortage for the blue and i had to try the lavender. It is still better than the non branded litter but in my opinion it is not as good as the blue. The main difference is the urine disintegrated this letter and causes it to be like wet sand. The blue typically stays in its own form making it easier to clean. I guess that comment prompted me to say that I use the reusable plastic tray so cleaning it with ease is important to me. If you use the disposable boxes, then this may not matter to you as much. I still give this 4 stars but I’d give the blue closer to 5 stars.

My 2 cats are as fastidious & fussy as the next about everything - food, toys, sleeping arrangements, my time, & especially litter. I have recommended this litter to everyone I know, but most won't even consider it. Many think it's too expensive, but the little extra cost that it is FAR outweighs any other litter I've tried. It's a silica, like what's in those little "don't eat this" packets you get in new items like purses, etc. The silica dries out / soaks up / evaporates the liquid almost immediately. I mix the litter up a lot once everyday (like thoroughly mixing a cake). The poo dries out, & is easily tossed in the toilet with a tissue or a scoop. A few attached crystals have not hurt my sewer system in the 15+ years I've done this & used various crystal litter products. It's so lightweight it's unbelievable, especially compared to the average clay litter. We originally started using this because of my husband's allergies - the clay, dust, smell, etc. We keep the box in the spare bathroom tub, & a thin cardboard mailer is easy to scoop back what little is tracked out. It's all my cats know now & all I personally will ever use. I do a lot of rescue work where clay is what is donated & let me tell you, it makes me even more grateful for this product!!!

Extra litter is really not useful since it doesn't really extend the life of the litter cartridge at all. I added extra litter about 2 weeks in and still had to change the cartridge three days after adding it due to smell. Definitely not worth purchasing the extra (if you have just one cat especially).

I ordered the new box without a top because I have one. However, the the design is different. I wish I would have known that before I purchased. I would have bought the older version

I use these to periodically top off, which helps my scoop free last a bit longer and fresher between litter replacements.

It only smells when it's wet, so it don't fill your house with an overwhelming "fake" scent that's masking cat odor. The crystals absorb the scent. Huge plus for me is No Dust none, the clay crystals are Dustless. I love that it's pretty lavender a nice girly touch. I use a regular cat box so I'm scooping the clumps myself, I love the lavender scent I'm not overwhelmed by any other cat scents. I also liked the clay because My cats didn't drag the litter out of the box on there paws this is amazing. I loved this litter so much I had to get it for my son and his wife, she is expecting so he is on cat box duty and they both " Love " this litter too.

I was worried at first that my picky kitty wouldn't use it so I used it in one of their boxes and kept our usual brand in the other. It did take him a while to give it a try but eventually he gave it a try and kept using it. I don't have a self cleaning box and have been using it in my regular litter boxes with no issue.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was so excited to try this Scoop Free Lavender Crystal Cat Litter and thought it would be a welcome change from traditional litter that is messy and sometimes difficult to clean. I put the bag of litter in the litter box, and noticed over the course of the day that my cat refused to use it. The litter box is right by the door and my cat kept whining to go outside to relieve himself, rather than even stepping foot inside the litter box. I’m not sure why my cat refused to try it, I may purchase another bag if there is an unscented version and see if maybe my cat will use it. I’m thinking maybe he didn’t care for the lavender scent of this product.

I couldn't of asked for a better litter. I did get the lavender scent and I dif smell that when I opened it, but not so much afterwards, which could be due to the fact that I always have my wax warmers filled with different scents.

The lavender smell makes it smell good and because it’s crystal and not clay - there’s no dust and hardly the “liter” smell. Both of my cats took to the liter instantly.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I didnt care for the little at all. It helped soaked up urine which is a plus. But its very messy if you have cats with long fur. It stuck to my cats fur and got dragged around my house. And with it all over the floor, it hurts to step on in bare feet. The litter smelled good. It took my cat a while before he would even use it. He didnt seem to like it either.

Our garage tends to start smelling like cats if the litter is not scooped regularly. I must say that this is the second time I got lavender scented litter and I liked it a lot. It kept the odor to the minimum after three weeks of using the same litter with regular scooping even though it says scoop free we still do it. I tend to stick to cheap litter but I am thinking to switch to scoopfree litter. It really makes a difference.
