This worked great to slow down my gobble-everything-now cat, but after a few weeks she developed an ulcer on her lip; our vet said the ulcers commonly happen with plastic food bowls. Beware!

Used this for a few months and while it slowed down my cat at first, the areas are too small and shallow to do much and he figured out how to scarf his food down. It was also really hard to clean and not dishwasher safe, so I would hand wash it but there would be a slimy film on if afterwards so I ended up throwing it away and buying a ceramic one.

My kitty loves his fishy fun feed mat! He eats from each section at a time. He hardly throws up anymore. I didn’t experience any issues with the mat smelling. It doesn’t smell at all. And as far as cleaning it, I spray it out with the sink sprayer after each use and then use a bottle bristle brush and then spray it down again. It is really easy to clean. I love these mats so much that I purchased 2 and will be purchasing more as gifts to my cat-parent friends. I highly recommend and am always looking for more styles!

I'll start with saying it does what it's supposed to do and slows my cat down. This thing smells awful though. We've used it for over 6 months and it still stinks. It's great it's "BPA free" but clearly probably isn't much better when it smells so bad for so long. As someone else mentioned, it's also very difficult to clean. I soak it in a hot water with soap each night but that doesn't cut it. After no more than a week it needs a real deep clean and that's nearly impossible. I use my fingers and a toothbrush and still find little parts that didn't quite get squeaky clean. This is not dishwasher safe and altogether it's not the best. I'd look for another.

My cat Thick Skittles was a fan of the scarf 'n' barf. Got her this slow feeder and it has reduced the vomiting by a lot! And it looks super cute!

My cat is loving this feeder and I’m glad she is eating slower. It has really helped her to stay full after eating and I would definitely recommend this to anyone that at has a cat that eats quickly.

I bought this for my cat who was recently put on a diet. It is perfect to slow him down so he can tell when he's full. The corners add a bit of challenge but not so much that he gets frustrated like other slow feeders. It holds both wet and try food. It also helps measure the food. He runs to it because he knows its meal time. Super easy to clean and doesn't slide around the floor. I haven't seen any others like this when looking for a slow feeder, most are round like the dog options.

I was looking for a slow feeder bowl designed just for cats and this was the bowl. The pockets are deep enough to keep the food seperate and does slow down eating. My cat use to gulp down her food, but with this bowl she takes her time. There are times where she will take a break and then go back at a later time to finish off the bowl. The only downside to this bowl is the cleaning. The wet food I use has gravy in it and this will cling to the side of the pockets and in the tight corners. Plus since the pockets are just shallow enough, water tends to splash in all directions so it's better to sponge clean. I would allow it to air dry since using a towel doesn't soak up much of the water when its wet. Hence why I'm purchasing a second one!
