Description

From the makers of UNO card game, Phase 10 Flip turns the classic Phase 10 card game on its head! Players still race to complete 10 Phases, but with some unexpected twists—like a double-sided deck and special FLIP cards! One side of the deck features cards with standard colors, but the other side is ALL WILD! Because the Phases in this game require runs of the same color, players must strategically flip the deck to the Wild Side to help complete their Phases more quickly, or flip back to the Color Side to hinder their opponents. This fun family card game is perfect for 7 year olds and up. Colors and decorations may vary.

The phase instruction cards are laid out in a confusing way 😕. The phases themselves are too easy. 2 sets of 2 cards??? LOVE UNO FLIP but Phase 10 Flip was a no go for my family. Ages 8-40

My family loves gameplay and are very competitive (mostly friendly ha). This game “shows” your cards to everyone else when you flip. Might be good for kids, but not good for people who are tracking what colors/numbers someone is picking up, then you know their “flip” hand because you’ve been staring at it. Might be good if there was a way to block the backside of your cards from other players, but agree with another review that said all cards wild on a flip is too much.

We bought this game because we are huge into phase 10 and Uno. So seeing this new variant we HAD to buy it. We normally spend 2-3 hours at a time playing these card games so we were worried this game was going to take even longer. That was until we realize that having all wilds on the back side was the easy way out and made it to where you didn’t have to do your phase. As soon as we flipped EVERYONE got their phase and the round was over. Not only was this a 20-30 min game but also we all had less than 50 points by the end of the 10 phases. Also the fact that there are WAY easier phases (run of 2 same color and set of 2) is very upsetting and I will probably gift it to someone else. If you’re the makers of this game, please consider an option where you flip with colors on the backside. Other than that cards are great quality and I just don’t like the game play. Definitely intended for newbies to the game.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We had so much fun playing this. We usually play the original, have played it every friday for years, at one point we made our own phases. This version gave us a whole new night of laughter. It was harder than the original to explain the rules when getting started but it was easy to figure out. Cant wait to play with a few more people and see what its like.

I just purchased this and was extremely disappointed in the quality of the cards. They are very thin and cheap. They will not hold up and makes it difficult to shuffle and pass out. Was bummed as we love the original game and didn't think this one was as challenging. It is fun for something different but won't be in my regular routine game line-up. They remind me of something you would purchase at a dollar store.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Phase 10 flip is a fun twist on the classic Phase 10 card game, adding a double-sided deck that brings fresh strategy and excitement. Players must complete phases on both the light and dark sides of the deck, flipping between them based on special flip cards. This adds more unpredictability and complexity to the game, making it more engaging for seasoned players. The game still follows the basic Phase 10 structure of completing phases before your opponents, but the flipping mechanic adds an extra layer of strategy, which keeps the gameplay dynamic. If you love Phase 10 but want something with a bit more variety and challenge, Phase 10 flip is a great choice. However, the added complexity may make it slightly longer and more challenging for beginners.

A Fun New Twist On A Classic Card Game

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The premise of this game is to create sets of numbers or color runs based on your current phase. There are 10 phases, and each phase has a different requirement, getting harder as the game progresses. In Phase 10 Flip, some of the cards have a flip symbol. When you discard a flip symbol card, you flip over the draw pile, the discard pile, and the cards in your hand. On the other side are numbered cards with multiple colors (the wildcard side.) These cards can be any color you want them to be for that particular number. The wildcard side makes it much easier to create your phase and also add to phases already laid out. In addition, there are star cards which can be any number you want. It should be noted that the number/star on one side of the card is NOT the same as the number/star on the opposite side of the card. Before acquiring Phase 10 Flip, I had never played a card game similar to this. I tried it out with my 10 yo and 7 yo boys. My 10 yo loved the game right away. He caught on quickly, even helping me at times! My 7 yo struggled throughout the whole first game. He had a hard time understanding the different phases (particularly the cards needed to create a set of numbers vs a color run) and even just sorting his hand and deciding what card to discard. Even with some help, he lost patience and interest very quickly. Now I play with just my 10 yo son. We know what we’re doing, so it’s a lot of fun for the two of us. We intentionally lay cards to flip the deck to our advantage or to our opponent’s disadvantage. I really like the short amount of time it takes to complete a phase. Oftentimes I find that we only have about 10-15 min to play a game. A game like this is perfect because we can play a few phases and take a break. As long as we remember our scores and which phases we are on, we can come back and finish it later. I disagree with the recommended age, listed for ages 7+. It should be at least age 8 or higher. My 7 yo struggled to understand the rules. Even though he did ok with some help, he was so frustrated by the end of one game, that he hasn’t wanted to play again. In contrast, my 10 yo picked up on the rules quickly and has had lots of fun playing it. Overall, it’s a great game once you understand the rules and know what you’re doing. I recommend it for anyone who likes to play card games, older kids and/or adults, or those who might only have time for shorter games.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the original Phase 10 so I was very eager to play Phase 10 Flip Card Game. I began by playing with my husband and at first I was really frustrated but once I caught on it was actually really fun. It is a game that keeps you engaged, and challenged. My biggest frustration was with the cards that list the phases because they are coded and not written out like the original game and it took me a minute to understand how play continued once the cards were flipped but once we figured it out it was great. We had our 14y daughter join the fun and she really enjoyed playing too. Definitely recommend if your looking for a twist and a great family time together.

    Fun Family Game Night Game!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a fun, easy game to play with a big group. It made for a great family game night. It is a bit longer than some games but the “Flip” aspect helps speed it up! When the “Flip” cards are engaged everything becomes Wild making matches and runs a lot easier. The cards are very vibrant and good quality. The reference cards for the different phases definitely helps to keep everyone on track. Having a color blind family member I especially liked the additional touch of having shapes on top of each card so that anyone can play and know which cards are associated with each other.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Phase 10 Flip is a super fun spin-off of it's original version. It does take a little getting used to if you learned how to play with the original, but it is especially fun when you have the max amount of people playing along with you. Sometimes having to flip your cards surprisingly helps you out with getting your phase. I especially love the creative way to include color blind players using specific shapes for each color. As for the cards themselves, they are sturdy with rich colors. The box is traditional in dimensions and a paper box, but personally, I would appreciate a tin or something a little sturdier for longevity.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a fun card game. By boys enjoyed the game playing by the rules, and also came up with a couple of unique versions. It was easy for the 2 of them (ages 8 & 11) to play on their own without help. I enjoyed that it is simple, no electronics or noise but kept them entertained for about an hour each time they've played it. The cards are sturdy and colorful.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This game is so much fun and easy to get the hang of. This will definitely become one of our top chosen games for family game night. It is just like the classic game but uses a double sided deck of cards. The flip card makes you flip the cards over and they are all wild cards. If you love playing card games and love Phase 10, then you will really enjoy this version!

My grandson was unsure at first if he would like it but he decided it was "pretty cool". We did have a little bit of a problem figuring out some of the rules but got past that quickly, once we started playing. This would be a very easy game to take along anywhere.

It does recommend 7+ of age, but my 6 year old completely understood what to do (with a little guidance of course). The directions are easy to read and quick to learn. The cards of slick enough to grab quickly, but sometimes to slick, you have to grip a bit harder. The cards of same size as a regular deck of cards. We highly recommend this game to anyone who loves card games and maybe even if you don’t, immerse yourself and I’m sure you’ll enjoy!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We are a huge game family. We were so excited to get the card game Phase 10 - Flip. None of us had played Phase 10 before, so there was a bit of a learning curve. This version is a fun twist on the original game where certain cards have you flip the deck and your cards to the opposite side. The game has a card for each player which shows you which phases you need to move to the next round. After several games of learning, I think we finally understand it. It turns in to a more fast paced fun game once you know the rules. I can easily see this become a family favorite for years to come.

This is a great addition to any game collection. It travels/stores well, so it’s one we often grab for family trips. This is also a favorite amongst adults as it does take a little longer to play and requires more patience than our younger children sometimes have. If you love Rummy, this is a fun spinoff.
