Description

This Philips Avent My Natural Trainer cup makes it easier for your child to transition from bottles to sippy cups. Ideal for babies 6 months and up, this cup comes with both soft, a Natural Response nipple as well as a soft spout, allowing flexibility to move from bottle to cup whenever your child is ready to make the transition. The design encourages your child to gradually get used to drinking from a sippy cup while providing the familiarity of a bottle nipple and then the comfort of a soft spout. The soft, flexible nipple only releases milk when baby is actively drinking. When pausing to swallow and breathe no milk flows from the nipple. It's innovative anti-colic valve is design to reduce colic and discomfort by sending air away from baby's tummy. The soft silicone spout is a simple switch to a new drinking method for your growing little one, while keeping a familiar cup. The trainer handles make it easy for little hands to hold the cup to encourage independent drinking. The handles are detachable, so you can simply add them when your baby is ready. The My Natural Trainer Cup is made from BPA free materials and includes a protective hygiene cap to keep the cup and its contents clean. All pieces are dishwasher safe for easy cleaning. For versatility, this trainer cup is compatible with the Philips Avent Natural bottle range, as well as Philips Avent toddler cups. SCF263/01

What to expect when introducing the Philips Avent Natural Response Nipple:

-It's is totally natural for your baby to take 2-3 tries to get milk flowing from a new bottle. Unlike traditional bottles the Natural bottle is designed to only release milk when your baby is actively drinking, like what happens when babies breastfeed.

-We have 5 different nipple flow rates for the Natural bottle. When looking for the right nipple flow rate, age is a guide, but your baby's approach to drinking and the feeding cues they will show will help determine when to move to a higher or lower nipple flow rate.

Q: Is this microwave safe?

submitted by ib - 11 months ago
  • A: Hello! We do not recommend using a microwave to warm up baby's food or drinks. Microwaves might alter the quality of food/drinks and destroy some valuable nutrients. Microwaves do not heat evenly and they might leave “hot spots” which could scald your baby. When heating up your Philips Avent bottle in the microwave, please only place the container without screw ring, AirFree vent, nipple and cap. Always stir heated content to ensure even heat distribution and check the temperature before serving.

It’s hard to find a sippy cup that doesn’t leak or doesn’t have lead. This is the only one that worked for my toddler so far. I wish that they made these in glass versions as a lot more moms are transitioning away from plastic nowadays Side note: these work with the Philips Advent Glass bottles if you need more than a 5oz capacity

SUPERIOR BOTTLE

Phillips Avent - 2 years ago
Phillips Avent has the best baby bottles and pacifiers that adjust to most babies naturally. This is best baby combo! A regular nipple for bottle, that easily turns to a sippy cup (with removable handles). Love the clear clean look, we can easily see where it’s dirty. It’s the best transition cup. Nowadays most sippy cups don’t have lids, this one does! Plus it’s not a tall 9 oz bottle, since your baby only needs a few ounces to drink juice. It’s a perfect chunky portable bottle your baby needs!!!! P.s. i highly believe you can mix & match Phillips Avent other bottle parts.

They are as pictured and good quality. The problem is that it’s handle does not rotate, so to match the nipple with it you have to remove and adjust the nipple itself. We have had them for a while and our kids love them, but is just not ideal for us to have to be moving the nipple around constantly.

I think it’s alright, my baby just likes the dr brown bottles more but it’s cute and he could hold onto it the first day. It says it’s for 6 months and up but un sure why the number on the nipple says it’s a five stage? He’s at a 3 on dr browns so that’s a bit confusing. It doesn’t spill out when tilted and dropped, however when u squeeze it, the flow is very fast and shoots out

Training sippy cup

V - 2 years ago, Verified purchaser
Bought this for my 8 month old to start training him to use a sippy cup and I gotta say this wasn’t it. My child never liked it and would immediately throw it, he wouldn’t drink out of it unless I was holding it up for him to drink and the spout flow was too fast he would choke on whatever liquid he was drinking. He also managed to make it open even though I tightened it and it spilled everywhere. I still have the cup and to to this day he still does not like it he seems to prefer the munchkin sippy cup with the weighted any angle straw.

My 6 month old loves this soft spout cup! She gets excited when she sees it. The handles help her practice drinking water on her own, and I like that she does not have to work too hard to get some water out since we started with a cup that much more challenging. She is ebf, but I tried the bottle nipple and she didn't refuse it like she did with other bottles we have tried. I also appreciate that it is dishwasher safe!

Best first sippy cup

FirstTimeMom - 3 years ago, Verified purchaser
Great first sippy cup. We never used the nipple, just the sippy insert. Very easy for our baby to figure out. If he bites then water comes out, so sometimes he will just let water spill all over him, but he does that with any cup. The handles are super durable so drops off the high chair haven’t been an issue. The handles are also a great size for those little hands. I wouldn’t say that it’s our favorite sippy cup to use now at 10 months old, but it was perfect at 6 months old. (But we definitely still use it regularly.)

Great Transition Bottle

5 out of 5 stars

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for giving me the opportunity to try out this new sippy cup! I loved that this cup comes with both the tops for just one bottle, so that you can easily transition as your child gets older without having to purchase additional, space-consuming cups (does anyone ever have enough room for the plethora of bottles, sippy cups, etc. that seem to just appear when you've got littles?!) Instead you can just easily switch out the nipple part, saving both space and money. It's also super convenient that these parts are totally interchangeable with other Philips bottle products, making it easy to find and put together what you need after cleaning. And it really is easy to take apart, so you can get everything clean without worrying about mold growing in hard-to-get spots, and you won't spend 10 frustrating minutes just trying to put it back together after! The top just pops back in, and the insert even has a helpful little image to make sure you've got it fully in. My baby has tried out a few different kinds of nipples and really never seemed to love any of them. Some of the bottles we have, we don't even try to use anymore because he just won't drink from it. But he took right to this type with no problem; the shape seems to suit him well and we also haven't noticed any random leaks, even when he's just playing around with the bottle instead of drinking! He's not quite to the point of being able to use the Soft Spout yet but it seems like it will be good, and he'll be able to use a bottle that he's already comfortable/familiar with so that should help make it an easier transition. I was worried at first that he wouldn't be able to grasp the handles but I was pleasantly surprised! They seemed to be a good shape and size so that he was able to get it mostly figured out and hold it up by himself. The only thing I didn't really love about the handles was they come out fairly wide from the bottle (as should be expected) and so it doesn't fit in the pockets in my diaper bag. So I either have to put it in without the handles, or stash it in just the large open section of my bag. Which is not a huge deal, especially as it comes with a lid to prevent spills. Overall, my baby and I were both satisfied! He could hold the bottle himself, the flow and shape of the nipple were comfortable for him, it's easy to dissemble/reassemble, and the interchangeable parts help reduce kitchen clutter!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this item from Stellar Product Testing Panel in exchange for my honest review. My daughter loves this cup. She is currently 9 months old. She still uses a size 1 nipple. I couldn't use the nipple or sip spout that came with it, but, the parts are interchangeable with other Phillips products. I use her Avent bottle nipples on this cup. She loves the handles, they are soft and flexible but still sturdy. This is going to be a great transition cup to help ween her from bottles completely. It's easy to clean, easy to use, and exactly what I love and expect from a Phillips products. I would definitely recommend to a friend, and plan to buy more for backup!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this cup through the Stellar Product Testing Panel. My baby started drinking from the Trainer Cup with the soft spout, as he refuses bottles. After several uses he still hasn’t quite latched with the soft spout. Sometimes he’ll take a couple drinks from it but nothing substantial. We tried the nipple attachment also but he wouldn’t even consider it. I would recommend it is worth a try and easy cleaning. I also loved that it came with both spout styles and it is helpful that you can mix and match parts with other Philips Avent bottles or cups. From a mom trying lots of different cups right now, I appreciated that I didn’t have to buy a separate piece to try another setup.

Good transition sippy cup

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our babe really enjoys using this sippy cup. She easily grabs the handles and chugs away using both the nipple and soft spout. She's just shy of 8 months and currently prefers the nipple though. The spout does spill easily and she's not the most coordinated yet. I have no idea how to get the handles off haha. She really enjoys the handles anyways. The fact its interchangeable with other bottles and cups is a really nice feature for those who use their other products. We received this sippy cup and nipple/spout from the Stellar Product Testing Panel so I don't have other cups by this brand. First one! Definitely would recommend this to new sippy users!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our baby loved this sippy cup, especially the trainer handles! We tried to give it to her without the handles and it still worked well but she definitely had a preference. We didn’t end up using the nipples (she’s past that stage) but I love having the ability to use other Avent products with this cup. Cleaning the spout was a little tough, but other than that this was a huge hit! Thank you Stellar Product Testing Panel!

I highly recommend this product and will be buying a few more for sure!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 9 month old took to using this starter sippy pretty seamlessly! We recently introduced water to my little guy and this was the perfect way to start. After a few tries he was a pro. I found the sippy spout to be very soft, softer than others we’ve owned. We experimented using it with and without the trainer handles and tried both the nipple and spout. I love that you can mix and match the various pieces to find the most customized combination for your little one. We also had a few of the Philips Advent bottles on hand and it makes it extra convenient that the pieces are interchangeable. All pieces were easy to clean and sterilize. Thank you to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for giving us the opportunity to try out this sippy cup, we will be continuing to use it and will highly recommend it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this as a product to try from the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I loved this sippy cup, we aren’t very picky with cups we use as my baby is 10 months and is still figuring out what he likes. He really likes this one so far and we loved that it came with 2 nipples to try and the double handle.
