Better than Quip!

Montana Chick - 26 days ago, Verified purchaser
Great toothbrush. I used a Quip for about 5 years and got tired of the price increases for the brush heads. I also was tired of the Quip brush heads not staying on after using the toothbrush about a year. I tried several new ones, and they never stayed on, I had to tape them. It was a bad physics design, honestly. So, when I saw how the Phillips One brush heads attached, I was hopeful they would actually stay attached, and they do! They are also more reasonably priced. The only was Phillips could possibly improve the toothbrush would be to include a cover that can also act as a holder of the toothbrush. I took an old Quip holder and modified it with a dremel tool to hold my Phillips toothbrush. I'll have to use the bigger Phillips case when traveling. I also have arthritis in my hand and had my thumb fused, so sometimes I can't hold onto things well. I like the grooves in the Phillips handle, which helps me hang onto it, better than the smooth Quip handle. I don't like the big handled toothbrushes because I have small hands. I also love all the color options of the Phillips. I've recommended this toothbrush to a few family members.

I took this on vacation for 9 days, and it never ran out of charge. It barely takes more space than a manual toothbrush. The only reason it didn't get 5 stars was the proprietary connector on the toothbrush. It would be bettter if they had put a usb-c connector there instead.

Amazing Toothbrush & Adorable Color!

Audrey - 1 month ago, Verified purchaser
I just used this toothbrush for the first time and I immediately ran to leave a review because I love it so much. I originally was going to buy a regular electric toothbrush but I randomly purchased this one instead because I liked the idea of it being battery powered and not having to store a charger somewhere and I love how it comes with a case. To be honest I wasn’t sure how big of a difference it would make from a manual toothbrush since it doesn’t spin and just vibrates, but it’s surprisingly strong and my teeth felt so much cleaner afterwards. I also love the pastel pink color so much and it fits right into my bathroom aesthetic. I also love the size and shape of the brush, I have a small mouth and it doesn’t feel to bulky and is the perfect size for my teeth. Highly recommend!!

Nice brush, but terrible longevity

3 out of 5 stars
Discontented customer - 2 months ago
originally posted on philips.com
I purchased two of these brushes, one for travel and one for home. Both of them only lasted two years. That is very expensive for a two year brush. Once I changed the battery it did not work as well: the battery life dropped, and then it just stopped working even with a new battery. My previous (Oral B) toothbrushes have for years and many battery changes. I love the colours and the feel of the toothbrushes, but the price point is too high to have to buy a new one every couple of years.

On-Off switch stopped working.

The "Philips One" Battery Operated Travel Toothbrush worked about 4 months before the ON-Off switch started to malfunction (had to push hard and started only after many attempt) couple weeks later stopped working altogether. I bought 2 extra heads in anticipation of a long life of this item as I have good experience with other Philips products, but this toothbrush failed me miserably.

Best toothbrush for brushing teeth in between meals while on the go.

jdmsailor - 4 months ago, Verified purchaser
You get your best bang for your buck if you buy this toothbrush while there is a deal. I use this toothbrush while I am on the go or at work and want to brush my teeth in between meals. I don’t think this toothbrush is going to be useful if it’s going to be your primary source for cleaning your teeth night and day. However, it is suitable for the in between teeth cleanings after a meal when you’re not home. I am on an Invisalign treatment and brushing my teeth after a meal is crucial so again it’s useful just doing maintenance brushing before I put back my liners. you do need to brush a few times if you want to make sure food or something gets off your teeth, the vibrations are OK and the strength is OK, but you are going to need to run this toothbrush a few times.

I’m glad I bought this BEFORE reading the reviews, or I might have been discouraged. This is a phenomenal toothbrush and keeps battery for long periods of time in between charging. It has strong vibrations, and soft bristles. It’s excellent to travel with, and I’ve had it for over a year with no concerns about power or durability.

Terrible. I would give this zero stars if I could. I’ve used sonicare for almost 20 years and my husband bought these to travel with. I knew they wouldn’t be as good as a regular one but I did not expect this level of dissatisfaction. He opened his first and told me it was a waste of money. I tried to return mine to target (within the return window and with a receipt) and they said they couldn’t take any Philips toothbrushes back, even if it was unopened. Finally decided to try it for myself and the only thing I could feel was a vibration in the handle. The brush head didn’t move at all and I ended up using it like a regular toothbrush. Don’t waste your money.

1 reply from Philips team - 5 months ago
Hi Lilian, Thank you for contacting us. We are sorry to hear that your Philips OneBlade is not working. We recommend you follow the steps below to resolve your issue. For safety reasons, the Philips OneBlade only works cordless. Check if your OneBlade is plugged into an electric socket. If yes, then try unplugging it and turn it on again. It should work now. It is possible, that your OneBlade is not charged properly we suggest you to please charge your OneBlade. Check if the blade is clogged with hair or shows signs of wear and tear. If it is blocked, try rinsing or soaking it in lukewarm water until all the hair and dirt are removed. Be careful not to tap your blade against a hard surface like the sink, as this can damage it. If the blade looks damaged, please replace it immediately. Some OneBlade models have a 'travel lock'. If this is activated, the device will not turn on. Press the on/off button for 3 seconds to deactivate the travel lock. If your OneBlade model has a digital display, a padlock symbol will appear on the display when the travel lock is activated. If you have any further questions, please feel free to get in touch via Social Media. We're available 24/7 on Facebook and X. Alternatively, you can reach out to us via the contact page on our website. One of our colleagues will then try their best to help you further. Kind regards, Philips Consumer Care
